So far this year, is there something new in your city you would like to share with us? Fuel increase, price of things, a protest, a robbery or any other gist.

So to this point this year I would inform you about what was happening in my city. I have now been staying in Keffi, in Nasarawa State. One of the major issues which we have been undergoing is the constant increase in the price of fuel. It was doing about 800 naira per liter at the beginning of the year and is now abruptly increasing to about 1500 naira per liter.

This expansion has not spared anything, which includes transportation, price of food and general cost of living. Citizens are also fighting to meet both ends since the cost of transport has been doubling as market commodities are becoming more and more expensive with each passing day. This has in fact changed how people use money and conduct their day to day activities.

Can you say you have made any progress so far this year? Tell us about it.

Yes, I may safely say that I have already done much in the current year. To begin with, I was also simply able to rent my own residential apartment, which is a significant achievement to me, and it signifies independence development. On top of that, I got my own construction project started in my village too, which I always wanted to start. It is also worth considering that the dream is gradually forming itself. Another considerable progress I have made in online work is that I have already reached 6200 steem this year. This has been one of the best things that I have accomplished and this shows my perseverance and diligence.

If you have an opportunity of making your city better what will you do?

When given an opportunity to better my city, there are several things that I would put into consideration. Firstly, I would commence by improving infrastructure especially in relation to roads and transport system because with better roads, there will be less time wastage in terms of travelling and also movement of all the people will be convenient. Secondly, I would pay attention to the provision of young people with working places, promoting small business and entrepreneurship programs.

I would also consider stabilizing the price of basic goods particularly fuel as it is directly proportional to all other sectors. Moreover, I would ensure cleanliness and waste management to improve environment. Finally, I would enhance education by promoting schools and enhancing learning facilities to the students. All these would contribute to making the city more comfortable and productive to the people living in it.

Let's say you are given a choice to decide to leave your city to another city better than your current one and would be sponsored or you are given a huge amount of money to stay back in your city, what will be your choice? And why?

Given that I get an opportunity to choose between staying in my city with a significant amount of money and relocate to a different city where I will be sponsored, I will opt to relocate to Lagos. The reason behind this is that Lagos is an opportunity that opens and makes an individual. It is more developed, better economically and offers more network and professional growth opportunities.

Living on campus would assist me in trying out new things, making new friends and expand my boundaries. I do agree that working in such a colorful and competitive environment as Lagos could not only drive me to make even more efforts in my life, but also make my future even more interesting and a success.

Thanks for reading my post I'm inviting @pea07 @bela90 and @okere-blessing to participate.

The hike in fuel prices is a nationwide issue but up till now, nothing has been done about it. I overheard someone saying it will even get to 2,000 naira a liter. I just laughed.

Your idea of how you're going to improve your city is one that a lot of people will benefit from.

Thanks for sharing!
