The Dairy Game: Consecration Ceremony In Church And Throwback Picture With Siblings. 01/03/2026

Happy new month to steemit community! Today is a special Sunday service in my church in Benin, it is a consecration ceremony of spiritual sons and daughters.

So this morning I woke feeling tired because I returned late last night partly due to traffic congestion. I prayed for some minutes, read my bible , went immediately to the bathroom brushed my teeth and had my bath. My plan to cook was foiled because I woke up late. Moreso, serving the church in the capacity of a pianist means that I should be early to church before regular members arrive. I had to dress up and left to church.

The General overseer of the church opened the service with an opening prayer, praises and worship was next, followed by drama presentation, choral department didn't make anyone regret the purpose of attending the program, not forgetting the dance and music performance by the youths and children department.

The program had wonderful highlights including praises, worship, drama, dance, prayer and more. A lot of people from far and near attended the program, they joined to commit in prayers the new ordained ministers into the pastor hood, asking God to strengthen and equip them for the task ahead of them. The program ended in joy, the attendees had a great and thrilling moment which left a remarkable and unforgettable experience thing in their heart.

After service I went back home so exhausted. After few hours while searching for something else in my room , I found a throwback picture of I and my siblings. This left me in tears and lots of memories of how we played, ate, sang, hung out, prayed together. It's quite unfortunate it is not so today because there is for everything. We were boys then and lived with our parents but presently, we live in different cities. We chat and talk on phone but I still wish we will have a get together where we will play, sing, dance, hang out together like children. IF WISHES WERE HORSES......
