Steem4nigeria Accelerator Contest Week 114: A Day in my Life
Good day, one and all. I believe you all are doing okay.
Today I will be talking about one of the most memorable days in my life this year.
Briefly tell us how your 2025 has been so far. |
|---|
This year has been a wonderful one for me. I have learned a lot of things about life, business, family, and friends. When the year began, I was so anxious as usual. I worried if this year would consume me and get the best of me, but good enough for me, it did not.
First, I want to talk about my life as a student. School has always been so stressful, honestly because I have to balance school with work. I used to have weekends for myself to rest or do some personal stuff, but unfortunately I spend almost every Saturday in school doing a practical, writing tests, and sometimes having extra classes so that the lecturer can get to cover his scheme. This gave me very little or no time to practice my job which is fixing phones. Sometimes I wonder how I will even cope. I'm just glad I did not lose myself in the process.
Would you say the year was worth it? Tell us. |
|---|
Well, they say there are two sides to every story, and yes, the year was worth it. All the experience and stress I went through only made me stronger because I survived them. Like in the school aspect, I had to put in all my effort, sometimes denying myself rest or quality time only to get back a positive result—good grades. Also, I talked to God a lot because all of this would not be possible were it not for Him. He blessed the little I could get from my work. Also, some good friends came through for me when I felt low. All these put together are proofs that it was worth living the life this year.
Share your most remarkable day in 2025 with us, whether positive or negative. |

There are lots of memories I have had this year, but I will share just one. I attended a wedding ceremony of a friend of mine. It was a day of joy as I and a few others danced and celebrated with him. The marriage took place in August; it was so big that even the son of the governor came around. I and a few friends of mine took a photo with the groom. Below is a photo of us, the best man and the groom.
Some of my friends from other places like Eket came around too to celebrate this memorable event; I was so excited to see them.
Most especially I was excited to meet @bossj23 on this day. I never knew we shared a mutual friend. Below is a photo of us
After this we ate, drank, took pictures, and had a lot of fun on this day because one of us has taken a step to begin the married life.
What was/were your lesson[s] about the day you have shared above? |
|---|
I learned a lot of lessons on this day, such that when I went home, the whole day was replaying in my mind over and over.
One lesson I learned is that life is short, so we should spend it wisely. I just meditated on what life is all about. In this life, there's nothing really inside it. You just have to stay happy and treat everyone the way you want to be treated.
Just do the right thing, make friends, pursue peace, and take care of yourself.
I also learned a lot about friendship. I did not think that I would meet other friends of mine until this day. If we had kept malice or grudges, I wonder what would have come of our encounter. Life is short, so we do not need to use it to hate people. People are a resource no matter how we are treated. Hence we should learn to foster good relationship with people
Is there anything you would have changed about that day, or was it just alright? Tell us. |
|---|
The thing I would love to change about that day is that day passing by. I really wished I could relive that day in a continuous loop forever, honestly. That was when I had peak happiness in my heart. I forgot I had worries, struggles, and other personal problems that just vanished. Oh, what a memorable day that was!
This will be the end of my entry and I will like to invite @alexmartin @blessani11 and @bleams95
