Steem4nigeria Accelerator Contest Week 119: My Plans for Steemit Next Year

Hi everyone, I hope we are all good. The year is coming to an end, and it is right to resolve within one's mind what to do for next year.

So I would be sharing about my time on Steemit this year and also about my goals for next year.

So far so good; 2025 has been a successful year for me. In the beginning it was quite challenging to cope with. Problems, struggles, insolvency, and a lot more. But once I started Steemit, I noticed a change in my character and behavior; I felt like each day I had something to get back home to write about. Good enough; it could be about literally anything, which is what made it fun for me. This year was more about learning for me, and I am glad I made good use of the chance I got.

They say everything that has an advantage has a disadvantage. So far on Steemit, many things have discouraged me from writing on the platform, but I would love to mention just two. One thing that discouraged me was the low rewards/earnings. I thought about the time I used to write content only to get on it the next day and see how little I earned.
Another thing that discouraged me was time constraint. Time was another challenge for me because I had to spend more than 2 hours before coming up with quality texts for content. It was hard because I had to leave other things behind to sit and write content. Most times I stay up late at night to write and then wake up late the next day because of the stress

I overcame these two problems by tackling them together. In order to earn well, I needed to improve on the quality of my content, which would mean I prepare ahead so as to manage time. So what I do is to think of content while I wake up and scramble some things to write on the topic. Then I spend some time thinking about the topic, probably for hours while engaging in other activities of the day. Then once I am back in the evening, I find it easy to write and to finish on time.

I have learned a lot from Steemit, so I would just list them out.

1. Consistency over rewards—Doing one thing over and over would gain you enough over time.
2. Patience in growth—I have learned not to rush over opportunities; instead, being patient would get me far.
3. Self-Discipline—When I see low rewards, I try as much as possible not to pirate or duplicate someone's work; I would rather try to write better next time.
4. I have also learned to improve in my writing; each day I try out a new style and format.
5. Steemit has also made me do away with my introvert nature a bit; I can now associate with people freely.

We all learn every day. I am looking forward to becoming a better writer so I can make people read something of interest to them.
Something else I need to work on is my consistency. I need to write as often as possible, at least once a day.

The first thing I will do differently is to include quality videos in my content. The second thing I will do is to give better engagement than I did this year, and the third thing I will do is to choose a specific niche and make sure I am good at writing content on it. These are the three things I would love to do differently from next year.

Yes, I have a goal to grow my Steem power next year, and I intend to reach these goals in different ways.
First, I plan to be active in community engagement. This involves giving meaningful comments on people's content. It also means I will participate in contests and also build relationships with other creators.

Second, I will power up some of my Steem earnings so that my influence on the platform will grow because I am at the ending phase of being a newcomer. I will also be allowed to earn more from future posts I make.

Lastly, I will focus on dropping quality content as well as original content. I will create engaging and informative posts within my chosen niche.
