THUNDERSTORM IN UYO RAVAGED A PREGNANT WOMAN'S RESTAURANT

Good evening dear Steemians, I am @freshgrace, reporting from the city of Uyo. It's no longer news that on Tuesday a heavy and thunderstorm in Akwa Ibom State, Uyo ravaged and caused serious damage across the City.

I saw it online that same day that the business premises of a pregnant woman in the University of Uyo Main Campus were completely brought down, causing her to discontinue her sales for days now.

I will always say that neighborhood watch is an inspiration inciting us to keep watch and be aware of what is happening around and then report for others to know. Therefore I went to the scene today to see the level of the incident and also made some donations with my friends to the affected pregnant woman to re-establish the business place.

From the road to going to the school, I saw many houses affected. Carpenters within the City of Uyo area are not looking for jobs these past few days. It's a better one but no one will keep their roof uncovered following the impact of that storm. Those who may not have the money to repair the damage will pray it doesn't rain anytime soon. The cost of zinc is telling and intimidating at the same time, but in all of that, no life was lost.

We visited the pregnant woman, she showed us the place and none of the zinc and woods are to be used again, meaning it's a call for total rebuild with galvanized pipes and bundles of zinc.

We spent time with her and her children, prayed, and gave her our support before leaving for other engagements.
