I am here to report from the city through a neighborhood watch contest put together by @xkool24. This is one of the best contests in this community. It's about reporting events around us just like a newspaper line, I brought this one “the vandalisation of government properties.

I had a meeting with the head teacher of St. Philips Catholic Primary school, Use Offot. The school we used before we moved to our church permanent site. I went there to appreciate the school for the use of their facilities for the number of years the church has been there.

On getting there, the head teacher and others complained bitterly how invaders have stolen a lot of valuables from offices and closed rooms. I saw how they broke into the head teacher's office through the ceiling and carted away school properties, like rubber chairs, removing fans, vandalizing electrical wires, computers the Federal ministry of education donated to the school and many more.

The head teacher was lamenting “why are this community people this wicked” and my thought went into that direction. Another teacher who walked in was amused! She interrupted the discussion by saying that “the people said they are taking government properties”. Can you imagine ignorance? How could some mind go worse, depriving their children of the opportunity to practically learn computer science in this era, believing they are hurting the government?

As I call on the government to visit all schools and examine the state of their properties, they have to protect what they give to schools. Do not trust the community, village head, or youth leader to protect primary schools and properties. It's not working. Please take some policemen off the road, streets and station them in those primary schools that are experiencing vandalisation many times, else the children will not be exposed to modern equipment due to the greediness, wicked, unexposed actors and hollums coexisting in the community, causing social problems. The government should take decisive action to curb and ameliorate this situation, not only in Use Offot primary but around the state.

The school is no longer safe with properties, making the head teachers pack school properties to the house. Will the pupils now go to the head teacher's house to learn practical aspects of the computer? Some youths, gangs, or whatever secret society they belong to should learn that they are taking laws into their own hands.
