SEC S15W4: "Broken Trust"
My father said, “Trust is expensive, betrayal is cheap”. This phrase came out when he gave me advice about the importance of honesty in maintaining other people's trust. This advice is an important provision for me in living an increasingly complex social life.
Humans as social creatures definitely need other humans. We cannot live without other people. When we are trusted by others, we must also trust them. I believe that trust should be based on honesty. When someone is honest, they will be trustworthy and can maintain the trust of others.
However, you need to remember that building trust is not as easy as talking with beautiful words. Take the example of a love relationship or business relationship, sometimes colored by betrayal and other painful things. Therefore, maintaining trust is not just mere talk but must be proven with real actions.
There is no doubt at all, I am in a country that still adheres closely to the principles of life that uphold high values. For us, being trustworthy is an inevitability of a form of morality. Therefore, betrayal is considered a disgraceful act that is socially punished in society.
As a country that is religious and respects differences in beliefs, people are used to living based on religious teachings. In general, every religion teaches and emphasizes the importance of maintaining trust as a form of human obedience to God.
Frankly, I have never been betrayed at all by the trust I gave to another person. Maybe, because he is the type of person who is very careful in building relationships and social circles. Even if there is, it is only a matter of debts and receivables between friends. I also don't think it's a betrayal, maybe they don't have the money to pay at the promised time.
So I can't talk about my personal experience of broken trust. But you can be sure, if that happened to me, it would certainly make my heart broken and disappointed.
Dare to be honest! Trust is the foundation of any healthy relationship or partnership whether romantic, business or otherwise. However, as humans, of course we make mistakes, including in matters of trust. Well when it happens! The sky hasn't fallen yet, we can still correct these mistakes by telling the truth to those we have disappointed. Honesty always finds its way to goodness.

Yes, honesty is one key to maintain trust. For every single sincerity and transparency, more trust is earned. Kudos for that and success to you
