For this weeks task I watched The Shawshank Redemption (1994).Many people say this movie is one of the best movies ever made.Even though it is very old it stil fels strong and emotionel.Whil watching it.I felt many emotions.I also noticed how movies in the past told stories in a very diferent way than movies today.This helped me understand why this movie is still caled a clasic.

What felt different about the storytelling of the movie compared to newer films?

The storytelling felt slow and gentl.The movie did not rush the story.It showed simple daily life insid the prison and the feelings of the people living there.New movies are often very fast. They have a lot of action loud sounds and quick scenes.This movie was quit and calm.It focused more on talking thinking and feling.Even silent moments were important.Because of this the story felt real and deep.I felt like I knew the characters and understod what they were going through.

Did the film age well or did some parts feel outdated?

I think the movie aged very well.The ideas of hope friendship and fairness are stil important today.These ideas never becom old.Some things in the movie did feel old like the clothes people wore and the strict prison rules. Life also felt slower because there was no modern technology.But these things did not make the movie bad.They helped show how life was at that time.The felings and lessons of the movie are stil strong and easy to understand today.

What do you think made this movie a “classic”?

This movie is a classic because it touches the heart.The story is simple but it stays in your mind.Andy Dufresne is a quit man who never gives up hope even when his life is very painful.Red is another important charecter.At first he fels sad and hopeless but slowly he starts to believ in hope again.The characters feel real not perfect.The ending is happy and hopeful but it feels natural not fake.Peopl stil talk about this movie after many years and that is what makes it special.

How did the characters or themes relate to today’s world?

The characters and themes still conect with life today.Many people feel trapped because of stress problems or unfair situations.Andy teaches us to keep hope alive even when life feels dark.Red shows us that change is posible, no matter how late it feels.The movie reminds us that friendship kindness and hope can help us survive hard times.

In conclusion The Shawshank Redemption tells its story in a slow emotional and honest way. It has aged beautifully, its message is still powerful and its lesons still matter today.That is why this movie is still loved and remembered by so many people.
