Hello folks, so this is a drawing i did of Eddie Murphy, its from a random reference image which i saw online and then decided to make a drawing of it. this work is a caricature art but still depicts the image and character of a real person. incase you dont know him, he is a famous hollywood STAR known for several hollywood movies, i discovered him from the famous movie "coming to America" ant the Part 2 was released in 2021. such an incredible star actor.

The materials i used for this piece is a charcoal pencil on an A4 paper. This work took me roughly 1 and the half hours to finish. The size of this work is 8 x 11 inch port on a portrait view size. below are my progress work and also the reference image.

Progress work

This are my few progress shots, where i started with a faint line to get my sketch before adding different shades to the face of my subject.

In this drawing i try as much as possible to add more shade and dark tone to the face, i wanted to make my own a little bit different from the original image. if you look deeply you will see some changes in the shades, texture and pattern of my work.

Final work

My final work shows a well shaded and blended image of my subject and the shading technique i used for this art is called blurring method and hatching.
