My Neighborhood Watch #86 - Reporting Events Around us
Greetings my dear friends of Steemit and Steem4Nigeria
It's always exciting to make post in a community like Steem4Nigeria. Before I start I would like to invite two fellow Steemians @zulbahri and @chiagoziee to participate in the contest.
It was a two day celebration of Goddess Saraswati Worship on the last 2 and 3 February. I have always believed that some festivals are more significant than others. People celebrate them as experiences and feelings. And they bring a different feel and flavour to our lives and such festivals give you a new energy.
Vasant Panchami is one such festival if I remember my childhood or as I grew up around Vasant Panchami. There used to be a lot of prayers for Goddess Saraswati. There used to be a special assembly for the schools. And all the students used to give different performances. And I used to be one of them. As I grew up and went to college. There used to be a music program. We used to take blessings from Goddess Saraswati and celebrate Vasant Panchami in different forms, and it gives a different feel.
Well, this day is celebrated in different places in different ways and in different styles. It is celebrated in different states. A lot of people ask how we can make the best utilisation of the day. Different activities can be performed by everyone.
Firstly, I'll tell you a lovely story about how Goddess Saraswati evolved there and why she was created and how Brahmaji created her. It is said that when Brahmaji created this universe at that time he felt that he had created such a beautiful universe. There are rivers, mountains, birds and stars etc. There were animals but there was a lack of sound, and when there is no sound. In this situation, he left his world and landed on Earth. After that Ma Saraswati appeared there.
A white coloured lotus clad in white attire, Ma Saraswati was born. She came to our lives. She had a very beautiful voice. Everything was created from her voice. Even if it is the sound of the river water. Because of that, Ma Saraswati is also considered as the goddess of music and knowledge.
