SLC-S28/W2 | Movie Highlights : Based on True Events(The Woman King)
Assalamu Alaikum..!!
My Dear Friends,
I am @jannatakter24 from #Bangladesh 🇧🇩
Hello my dear Steemit friends. First of all, take my love and best regards. Today I will be participating in the SC-S28/wk2: "Movie Highlights: "Based on True Events" competition organized by @ruthjoe meme. So let's get started.
A real life story or movie is The Woman King. The movie is based on a true story of a historical event in West Africa, the Dahomey Kingdom. This movie is inspired by the real life story of female warriors in the Dahomey Kingdom. The movie is made around female power. No one thought that women could also fight. The movie is shown on the border, a group of female warriors led by Naniska. Naniska creates a group to end slavery in Africa in Europe. Naniska fights for the independence of the country, the end of slavery and the protection of her nation. The new warrior gains courage, strength and confidence as she undergoes training. The movie highlights the story of female power, independence, overcoming past trauma and a history of struggle.
Before watching the movie, I didn't know about the female warriors of the Dahmi kingdom in West Africa. After watching the movie, I became even more interested in learning about the female warriors of West Africa. The movie portrays a picture of women's courage, skill, discipline, and political power. These women remain an important part of history. These women were often ignored in Western history. Here, women were considered slaves in the past. So women fought to protect their honor and the freedom of their country. Seeing their courage, strength, and confidence in the movie made me even more curious to know about their real lives. So I tried to find out about this reality by searching on Google and trying to find out about their history.
The most powerful and emotional moment for me was when General Naniska told Nawi about her past trauma during the slave trade and the loss of her daughter. In this scene, Naniska's external rigidity breaks through and reveals her pain, sorrow, grief, suffering and motherhood. This is not just her personal pain, it is also the mental and physical abuse that thousands of African women suffered because of slavery. This scene seemed to me the most powerful and emotional.
I learned from this real-life incident how women can use their strength, courage and confidence to fight to protect their own honor. To protect their freedom and their nation. As shown in the movie, women formed a group of female warriors to protect their nation, to eliminate slavery and to protect their honor. From this real-life incident, I learned to fight as a female warrior.
The movie is set in the 1820s. At that time, women were considered slaves. In this male-dominated society, women dressed up like men to protect their honor and became known as female warriors. The bravery shown by African female warriors thousands of years ago is also similar to modern women's empowerment. It also clearly shows how difficult politics and society were at that time. That is why I have humble respect and admiration for the female warriors of thousands of years ago. Moreover, I am proud of the African women of that time.
