A Lesson About my Profession || by @josantos

Introduce yourself and tell us your profession or your skills.
My name is Josiah Santos and I am well known via the username @josantos. I am a student at the prestigious federal university Wukari. Currently, I am still a student in the department of computer science. Before I got admission into the university, I attended the college of education in Obudu Cross River state.
While in college, I studied Mathematics/computers and after my NCE program, I was privileged to teach at a school in the cross river known as Community Secondary School Nde. So my profession is teaching. I love teaching for my entire life because I derive joy from it.
What will you like to teach us?
As a computer scientist, there are lots of things I will like to educate us on. Everyone on earth today needs the knowledge of computers. In our schools, the computer has been made compulsory for everyone. They call it general studies (GS). The need for every to know the computer can never be overemphasised because that is where the world is driving to right now.
For the sake of this contest, I will like to introduce to us all what computer is all about. Now a lot of definitions have been given about what computers are. Today I will be explaining in-debt my understanding of the concept. Let's look at a few definitions below.

👉 A computer can be defined as any machine that makes work easier and faster.
👉 A computer is an electronic device that accepts data via an input device and processes the data using the central processing unit and provides a meaningful result called information through the output device.
All the above-listed information is correct when we talk about the concept of the computer, a lot of people think that computers are only laptops, desktops etc. But I have come to educate us that when we talk about computers we shouldn't be limiting it to the things I have listed above only. From the first definition above, anything that makes your work easier is a computer.
Computers can be anything at all provided it eases your work and saves you more time. To an agricultural, a computer is a device that makes the work easier and faster. For shoemakers, the engine uses to file the shoes and bring out a very clean shape is a computer etc.
Why do we need to acquire this knowledge that you have passed?
We all need this knowledge so that we won't attribute computers to only our laptops and desktops only. From the explanation, I have made above, you will agree with me that any device at all that makes one's work easy and faster is a computer.
With this knowledge, we have a clear picture of the concept of computers and we won't be limiting it any longer. We must learn to pass the right information to our friends and to those who look up to us. So many of these gadgets make one work easier or faster at any period is a computer. Our handset is all computer as well. It follows the second definition that talks about the transmission of data.
Talk about how technological advances have affected your field. This can be positive or negative.
As a teacher and a computer scientist, I must say that computer has gone a long way in ensuring that my studies are comfortable and as a teacher, it has made it even easier to perform some function. As a teacher, I was able to work on the results of my students from Taraba state and then I sent them to the school I was teaching at the cross-river without having to travel again to that place.
Even as I speak to you right now I am still an administrator in the school portal and I am in charge of uploading results for a certain department in the school. So if not for technology, I can't be here and still perform the function I was performing as if I am present. Technology has helped such that my absence is not felt at all.
Conclusion
The computer has done marvellously in our community till this moment. We are a developing nation and from the few periods that we have experienced technology via the invention of computers, we have achieved massively. Farmers produce more, bankers work even more jobs with no delay at all.
