It's not all the movies that I watch. There are some movies that I usually avoid watching, not because I am scared of them, but because I've never liked watching such movies since my childhood days.

Why don’t you usually watch this genre?

I usually avoid horror because the suspense, sudden scares, and intense atmosphere make me feel anxious rather than entertained. I prefer watching movies that allow me to relax, and not the ones that make my heart race or keep me on edge waiting for something frightening to happen in the movie.

Without saying much, I usually avoid this genre because of how blood is shed. I dislike watching movies where someone is cut with a knife or killed by a vampire.

Did this movie change your mind or confirm your feelings?

Before I didn't watch this genre, but all of a sudden, "A Quiet Place" changed my perspective. In the movie, the story was deeper and more emotional than I thought. The movie wasn't just about monsters it was about family, sacrifice, and survival. Despite watching a quiet place, I'm still not a fan of horror movies.

What surprised you most about the film?

It is how powerful silence could be that surprised me most about the film. The characters communicated through facial sign language and expressions, and the lack of sound made emotional scenes stronger.

I never thought I would feel connected to the family, but I did because of their love and fear, which felt real, and the sacrifices they made for one another. Also, the creativity of the movie using silence as a storytelling tool was something I had never seen in a horror film before which I saw in the film.

Would you try more movies from this genre in the future and why?

Yes, I would try more movies from this genre in the future. The reason is that A Quiet Place, which I watched, showed me that not all horror movies rely solely on jump scares and gore. Some movies intelligently use suspense and focus more on the emotional journey than pure fear.

Without further ado, I will be open to trying more movies from this genre that balance tension with a strong story.
