SLC-S29/W6-“Thinking and Ideas!| One Idea Worth Spreading!”

Many people, including myself, believe that after graduating from school, whatever we find ourselves doing in life, we will be making a good amount of money from it. We were only taught how to work for money, without being taught how money can work for us in a practical sense. This has been a serious problem, which I am here to discuss with you.
Share one idea you believe could improve lives (locally or globally).
The Idea: Practical Life Skills Should be Intentionally Taught in School and Community.
In today's world, the most important lessons are; financial literacy, basic entrepreneurship skills, problem solving, and then followed by; communication, conflict resolution, and emotional regulation which I strongly believe that if these aforementioned subjects are taught very well in school and community so many lives will improve.
Most people who went to school and graduated are only good at knowing theories and formula but struggle with money management, decision making, relationship affairs, stress, and inability to solve real-world problems, which today what people are struggling with or has neglect to learn has become survival tools.
Why is this idea important now?
Well, this idea is so important now, because the world is changing faster than we ever think. Cost of living is rising every day due to inflation, jobs are uncertain, companies are struggling to survive, and mental pressure is increasing due to stress. Every day life is what people are more overwhelm of and not just academic performance.

Also, this idea is important now, because people who are living large nowadays are people who are creative, people who are doing something for themselves, and not those who are employed. It is also important now because teaching life skills early would help students to build independence, confidence, and resilience, which prepare people to handle reality rather than just passing exams.
Due to a lack of teaching this idea in our schools or society, a lot of adults who have graduated from school are learning these lessons the hard way through burnout, broken relationships, and debt.
Who do you feel needs to hear this idea the most?
The people who I feel need to hear this idea the most are; governments, educators, and parents. These are the categories of people that shape what people consider important in the next generation.
Also, everyone, and most especially young people needs to hear this idea so they can understand that in life success is not only grades, but the ability of one to manage his or her life wisely is also very much important.
What is the first small step someone could take to begin?
When we are talking about this idea then we are indirectly referring to financial literacy as the steps to consider and the first small steps someone could take to begin with financial literacy in either school or home should be:
How to budget money wisely
How to handle failure wisely
How to communicate without anger wisely
How to set goals and follow through on achieving them.

You are really on point bro. 😎
As you said: "Financial literacy, basic entrepreneurship skills, problem solving, followed by; communication, conflict resolution, and emotional regulation", should be taught in school not always being taught different types of formula etc. Which won't be much useful to Many lifes after school.
These is a great idea that will benefit all, and make many people to learn about life at early stage in an easy way. Not learning it through mistakes and regrets. I like this idea.👍🏻
Wishing you good luck bro 🤝

Hi @josepha (79), welcome to thinking and ideas week 6
I am short of words right now because what you have stated, means so much. I agree totally with all your valid points. But unfortunately, the educators are not ready to do any of these and even the government, the parents might try to do their best but their best is not enough.
