It's another day of the week and I'm delighted to participate in this contest today organized by @steem4nigeria which talks about Navigating Through Conflicts. I will be making my entry below so read through it and drop your valuable comment as it will be appreciated.

How do you manage to stay calm during an argument?

It's always not very easy to stay calm during an argument but I always try my best because my system doesn't agree with much talks and that is the reason why I always want to be left alone by myself.

Anytime I meet a situation that leads to an argument, I keep quiet and try to ensure that they talks doesn't continue but if the talk continuos, I always find my way out from the place because overtime I always have headache when I have argument with people.

So staying calm is not always easy but I guess the best way one can do that during an argument is to walk away just like the way I normally do when such an issue arises.

Why is it important to listen carefully during a disagreement?

During disagreement, you are to keep quiet and listen to those speaking because you may find the words to use from what they are saying. Also, it is important you keep quiet and listen carefully because that will serve as your defence when you finally want to talk about the said issues.

Listening careful gives you an edge and words to say when you have the opportunity to speak. You may not have gotten the full knowledge or the cause of the disagreement from the beginning but once you listen carefully you will learn and know what to say in your defence.

A wise man once says talk less and listen more as those who listen doesn't make much mistakes because they have heard all that they needed for their defence for the said disagreement.

How does understanding someone else's feelings help in resolving conflicts?

If you have the ability to understand someone else feelings, then you can be able to resolve conflict more easily because you won't say things that would hurt that person easily. When I understand you and I know how you will feel if I say something that will hurt you greatly I will try to avoid such words because I know if someone says thesame to me I won't be happy.

So if I understand someone's feeling, it will help me greatly to resolve the conflict that Ideally we are suppose to have from the beginning. This will helps strengthen my relationship and help me to grow more and live better with that person who ideally we were supposed to have issues.

What can we do to control our anger during an argument?

There are many things we can do to control our anger and the first I want to share with us having anger management training. We can manage our anger if we train ourselves to do that. Also another way to manage your anger is to think of the after effect of the anger.

Most times because of anger we do things that we later regret in our lives so as a person, you should learn to manage your anger by looking at the after effect of what that anger will cause.

I remember a friend who slapped his friend because of anger when they have a little misunderstanding and 5 minutes later he needed the friend to help him and endorse a document, he wasn't bold enough to approach him and apologize because he taught he should have not done it.

It's like we share the same thoughts about argument I hardly involved in argument because it gave me headache at the end of the day I stay away from it because I'm a quiet type and arguments and misunderstanding can lead you into an action that you may later regret and after that pride will not allow you to ask for forgiveness or apologize for the wrong that you do during the misunderstanding.
