Application for Community Curator for the month of April, 2024.
It feels good to make another attempt at being curator on the steemit platform via my application. Being a curator comes with so much responsibility, commitment and dedication. I must say it has been an awesome experience, having served once in this capacity. This activity added to me in no small way.
I hereby tender an application once again for the role of a curator for the month of March. Below is my application proper using the guidelines stated in the announcement post published by steemitblog.
A brief summary of your history on Steem.
I joined this platform on the 4th of March 2021 through a very good friend of mine. I have have spent 3 years on the the platform and I have equally learnt alot staying around and building myself on the platform.
I also believe the wealth of experience I have gained over time will be relevant in moving this great platform forward. I am applying once again to take up this role in order to contribute my quota in serving other users especially authors dishing out quality contents on the platform and also to give back to the platform via my service.
I have also contributed to the steemgrowth in my country via promotions, recruitment and mentoring or newbies. I am also maintaining the #club5050 status, which is a symbol of commitment to this great platform.
I understand what the steemit team hope to achieve through this monthly and regulate exercise, this I got by close observation, I have also been part of this great work and would love to do it again.

I presently serve as a Moderator in @steem4Nigeria, one of the fastest growing community on the platform and I must say it has been awesome working with exceptional and experienced users in that commuinty.
By the virtue of the work I do there,I have been able to gather a lot of useful and working knowledge as we deal with all manner of post from users in Nigeria and other countries of the world and this has in a way added to my wealth of experience on the platform.
I have also served as a community curator, Team 2 & 4 to be precise using the steemcurator07 and steemcurator05 account. This has afforded me the opportunity to also interact with users across the platform coupled with all manner of post.
Details of specialist or professional skills or expertise you have in ‘real life’.
Am An Accounting; studied accounting in one of the reputable institution of learning in Nigeria. I believe it's the sole reason why I love content related to finance,business cryptocurrency and administration.
A teacher; a trained teacher who have been in this field for quite sometime now building young minds and helping them academically to the best of my knowledge and ability.
I am also into agriculture, some of my publications can give you more insight into what I do at the moment. I've developed this strong love and affiliation for Agriculture and it related activity.
Graphic design is another skill I have at my disposal. It is actually one of my hobbies.
What country you live in and the languages you can read fluently.
I live in Nigeria,the south western part of it, Ibadan Oyo,state to be precise and the language I can read,write and speak fluently is English language. I believe this language is universal and will be of great benefit here on this platform.

The measure adopted for quite sometime on the platform has been that tags/theme are not really the yardstick for curating and I so much buy the idea.
I would choose to curate any post that matches the definition of quality. Handling responsibility of this nature in the past has made me flexible and versatile. I believe doing this will also help me fulfil the vision of the steemit team as touching curation.
The minimum team size you would be willing to serve in.
I believe so much in team work and most especially in flexibility. Am glad we adopted the use of smaller team for quite sometime now and I would love to follow the trend. I believe the goal of everything is for efficiency in carrying out the job.
I believe I have been able to tender this application in line with the guideline given and to the best of my knowledge and ability. I look forward to receiving a positive feedback.

Thank you for the feedback... My support in form of valuable comments, upvote and guidance (especially for newbies) is for all...not just for my colleagues.
Our moderating activity is systematic. Each MOD in my community man the moderating activity for a whole day with others on standby to help when there is a little lag or lapses. Everyone has a day assigned to him or her.
So I run my moderating activity for the whole day, attending to publications made on the day am assigned to...which is Saturdays to be precise.
You sit 24 hours behind the computer nonstop? 🤯

Smiles....I'ld be exerggerrating If I say I sit behind the computer all day long, non stop. What I mean is on my moderating days, I oversee for the day...logging in at intervals to attend to publications.
That sounds wise to me. Because it is exhausting and one shouldn't forget about real life
