I'm glad I am finally getting to write something about the Easter Celebration. It was such a beautiful time on Sunday the 5th of April, a day set apart for Easter celebration. I will share in this post how I celebrated mine.

What does Easter mean to you, why do you celebrate it.

---

Easter to me is a time of reflection. I know that sometimes it's easy to be caught up in that overwhelming celebration trap that we forget the essence of our celebration. The reason for the season is one of the fundamentals that every believer must understand.

We celebrate Easter today because of the sacrifice that Christ Jesus made for humanity. The bible records, and history also has it that He went through severe suffering for your sake and mine. This goal was to redeem man from the power of sin and hell and that price was paid in full with his blood.

I know this because he rose on the third day after he was buried. We celebrate that resurrection which connotes ultimate victory and assurance of eternal life for as many that believes in him. He came for this reason and He accomplished it.

For God so love the world that He gave His only begotten so that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16

Do you believe in the finished work of Christ? Are you ready to accept him as your Lord and saviour? His arms are wide open, would you allow Him today?
This would be one of the best decision you will every make. Trust me.
If you are ready to accept him, just confess the following lines...

Lord Jesus, thank you for your love towards me.
Thank you for the sacrifice you made for my redemption.
I believe in your death,
burial and resurrection, all for my sake
I accept you today as my Lord and saviour.
Come and rule and reign in my life.
From today, going forward, I choose to live for you and you alone.
Thank you Jesus for saving me! Halleluyah!

How did you celebrate your Easter this year.

---

For me, the day was completely occupied because every Easter is always on Sunday. We had our service in church, a very edifying one at that. We had something we tagged "Easter Carol" lol. Funny right? but that was the tag we gave the service yesterday and of course, it was colourful.

As we did all of this, I kept on reflecting on the love that God has shown humanity and particularly to me through His son Jesus. You know, this consciousness shouldn't end on Easter day, it should linger, it should be our everyday reality that we have been bought with a price, with the precious blood of Jesus and the only way we can show appreciation and reciprocate that love is to live wholly for Him daily.

After the church service, I had to go for our monthly outreach to widows. It happens to coincide with Easter celebration. Moreso the convener's birthday happens to fall on Easter day, so it was more like triple celebration in one day. It was indeed colourful

These precious ones were taught God's word, even as we the minister of God expounded the reason for the season so that we do not have so much fun and beautiful moments at the expense of the essence of the celebration. By God's grace, gift and edible items were also distributed to these ones to commemorate the day's special event.

I spent the larger part of my day here and I've got no regret because I was doing that which pleased the Lord on his special day.

What is/was your favorite thing about Easter.

---

Easter to me was once a fun fair event for me. The routine back then before I had understand was to go home while I was in school to go celebrate with my family. The idea was to go eat, drink and gist and then return back to school after the whole celebration.

Then,I didnt understand what it's about. I know it about Jesus but there was no depth as to why we are celebrating year in year out. This continued until I understood what Christ did for humanity, not just for Christians, or the "righteous" but for everybody and as many that believes in Him, eternal life will the granted unto such person.

This is the core and the essence of this celebration. I would like to wrap it here
