Greetings to all my fellow Steemians, I am so glad to be participating in this contest again for week 2 that was organised by @ninapenda
Choose a global or local problem (education, waste, traffic, unemployment, loneliness, etc.)

UNEMPLOYMENT

Unemployment is a very serious problem globally. A lot of people are out there willing and able to work in order to put food on their tables but do not get access to jobs or opportunities.

This has affected not only the individuals but also families too. Lack of employment has led to poverty, stress, and depression.
But I believe that complex problems do not always require complex solutions.

Sometimes, bigger problems might just need simple solutions and actions. Simple solutions can come from anyone regardless of their educational background.

Propose a simple, realistic solution that does not rely on advanced technology.

A simple solution to unemployment is to learn a skill and get community support. People should be encouraged to learn practical skills that can put food on their tables.

All these skills do not need advanced technology, and they can be learnt within the neighbourhood. There are skills like bricklaying, farming, barbering, tailoring, hairdressing, farming, food processing, etc.

Learning all these skills will help people become independent on their own; once they are well trained, then they can start small, and they will grow over time.

Supporting people with small businesses is also important. When small businesses are encouraged and supported.

They can be able to employ other people and help reduce unemployment in the community, giving them support like small loans to buy tools to expand their business, and they will pay back little by little.

I do not suggest giving them money for free because they may not value it, but since it's a loan, they will value it because they will want to pay it back in order to collect more again.

Local markets should be promoted also so that people can be able to sell what they produce.

When the products they produce are valued and supported by people, it will surely earn them a living.
With all these, the rate of unemployment can be reduced.

Who will benefit most from this solution?

This solution will benefit a lot of people, but it will really benefit people who are illiterate and those with little educational background.

It will benefit low-income earners. This set of people always find it difficult to find office jobs, but with practical skills, they can earn a source for themselves.

People that are living in rural areas will also benefit from it because most of these skills can be practised within their communities. Skills like tailoring, hairdressing, and farming will really help them to earn an income without moving to the urban city.

Housewives can also benefit from this solution too, especially those who love to support their husbands and families.

With small businesses and practical skills, they can be able to work from home or within their communities while still taking care of their households.

What possible challenges or limitations do you think your idea might face?

The possible challenge this idea might face is lack of interest from some people. Not everybody is willing to start learning new skills even when the opportunity is available.

Most of them might feel like they are too old to start learning skills. Another one is lack of support. Most people that want to start small businesses may not be able to do it because there may not be enough money to buy tools for the business that alone is going to discourage them from starting the business.

Poor training and lack of guidance might also be a problem if these people are not properly trained. They may find it difficult to grow in their skills and business, and that can make them give up so easily.

But despite the challenges, with proper guidance and training, this solution can still work and change many people's lives.

Thank you for reading all through.
I am inviting @balikis333, @yourguybami026 and @ettified01 to participate In this contest.
