Steem4nigeria accelerator contest week 145: The weather and I.
As the monsoon season brings a wonderful softness to our lives, it also creates some changes and challenges in our daily lives. Through this contest, I am presenting the answers to some important questions related to the current weather in my area and this season below:

How would you describe the weather in your area today?
The sky has been covered with thick black clouds since this morning and it is quite dark around. It has been raining continuously with a gentle breeze since morning. Although this damp and cold weather is great to enjoy at home, it has made the life of the common man who goes out for work quite difficult and slow.
Have you faced any problems (business, health or floods) since the start of this season?
Yes, since the start of this monsoon season, we have been facing several real problems. First of all, the roads are covered with water and mud due to rain, which is costing extra time and money in transportation. Secondly, due to this damp weather, health problems like cold, cough and fever are occurring in the family. In addition, the decrease in people's travel outside has also brought the sales of local small businesses to a standstill.
What necessary preparations should be made to stay healthy and safe during this season?
It is important to make some basic preparations to protect yourself during this time. You should always keep an umbrella or raincoat in your bag when going out. It is better to use waterproof shoes to protect your feet from getting wet. It is very important to drink lukewarm water for health protection and to keep a close eye on the water around the house to prevent mosquitoes from breeding.

Who do you blame for the floods in Akwa Ibom State—the government or the citizens' careless waste disposal?
I will blame both the government and the common citizens for the terrible floods in Akwa Ibom State. When citizens clog drains by dumping plastic and household waste everywhere, a flood situation is created even with a little rain. Again, the government also has its failures, because they do not regularly repair and modernize the drainage system. Therefore, instead of just blaming, citizens need to be aware and the government needs to enforce strict laws.
It is not possible for us to change the laws of nature, but through proper preparation, mutual cooperation and awareness, we can face any disaster or adverse situation and remain healthy and safe.

It is that time of the year, July, the month of nonstop rain.
The best solution for the weather is warm food everything you want to eat because germs thrive in the cold.
I recommend cold shower, then cover up well.
