Thediarygame for 23/12/2023// Attending the best uyo steemians end of the year hangout

The main day we were all waiting for come to fulfillment. Uyo steemians end of the year hangout was schedule to be on the 23rd of December 2023, so a WhatsApp group was created and every one was asked to contribute the sum of 2000 each, 22 steemians contributed.

We were able to use the little money to cook something reasonable, which was fried rice, chicken and salad.

The cooking took place in my house and it was a privilege for me.

I woke up in the morning, thinking about where to start. So I went to my toilet, watch my face and brush my teeth, so I ask my kids to prepare me tea and bread before I start cooking.

So by 9am @ngoenyi came around with her kids to help out in the cooking. She started preparing the salad while I started butcher the chicken.

My second son help out in parboiling the rice.

So at the end of the day we were able to cook a delicious fried rice, chicken and salad.

The cooking took place from morning hours to few minutes to evening hours.

After the cooking we all prepared and dress up for the event.

The dress code we were asked to use was blue jeans and white t-shirt.

So we all freshen up and we move with the food to the venue of the occasion.

By the time we got to the venue, it was few minutes past 4pm, other steemians were there, both the newbies and the old steemians, so we located a place that there was shade and before you know, everyone were complete.

The party Started by 4:30pm, @okere-blessing, was the mc of the occasion.

@ngonyi gave an opening speech by explaining what steemit is to the newbies and she also advice that the newbies should not be found guilty at any point, that she noticed that some of them withdrew and went out of club status.

After her speech, we all introduce ourselves with our username and I made sure I took attendant of all the steemians present.

We had a total number of 26 steemians and about 6 non-steemians.

After the introduction @goodybest who is our country reps address everyone most expercially the newbies, she said something about the club status,some of the I started sharing the food with the help of some steemians. I made sure the food went round and some people came back for extra.

@bossj23 really did so well by convering the drinks to the occasion.

The party ended with a nuptial dance and everyone was happy.

Honestly I must confess, ever since I joined steemit, this was the most powerful event I ever attended. Though we have been having hangout but this particular one was mind blowing.
