HONESTY
Hello STEEMIANS it another week of creativity, productivity, connectivity and engagement, am glad to be part of this week creativity contest organised @sahmiec1. let the fun begin.
Honesty is an act and displayed of truthfulness and authority, it is a genuine tool for survival in life. A honest person is someone who is upright, truthful, transparent, simple, trustworthy and accountable.
Honesty is a virtue and it an essential attributes used in sustaining, accommodating and acquiring good things such as relationship, friendship, opportunity and many more.
In today's world, advocating for honesty is like starting a war, HONEST PEOPLE are often been misinterpreted, misunderstood and misjudged.
DO YOU AGREE THAT BEING HONEST IS COSTLY? HAS IT EVER COST YOU PAIN OR REGRET??
I completely agree with the motions that says HONESTY IS COSTLY. The quality of an item determines the price, it could either be cheap, expensive or costly, to be attributed with something as outstanding as honesty, priceless sacrifices must have been paid, am speaking personally from experiences.
HAS IT EVER COST YOU PAIN??
Being honest has caused me pain that I don't regret because I know the beauty and reward being attached to my actions. As a living being who still has access to my fundamental human rights expressing my disapproval to a negative decision has cost me my childhood friendship, I gave honest advice with a friendly approach to a friend and I was misunderstood, and judged wrongly this situation caused me friendship of two (2) decades. It was a huge lost, but life goes on.
CAN YOU BE HONEST WITHOUT HURTING SOMEONE'S FEELING?
I think it impossible not to hurt the feelings of another because we are different people with different ideology of life. they say truth is bitter, and not everyone has the ability to handle the taste of bitterness. In today's world, people don't want to hear what you have to say, the only interested in you telling them what they want you to say. In most cases telling the truth is not acceptable and advisable because it might result to pain and hurt regardless of how you present it.
HAVE YOU EVER TOLD A LIE TO PROTECT SOMEONE?
yes I have, and I have lost count of how many times I did it, something I lied out of ignorance, pressure or fear of being misunderstood or hated, I have lied it avoid unnecessary explanation and to gain favour and support.
IS IT OKAY TO KEEP A SECRET IF I WOULD HURT SOMEONE?
In total sincerely, I don't know which answer is best for this question, I believe the situation, the depth of the secret and the person's involved in the situation will determine my answer, method of approaching and handling cases are different, if exposing a secret is the best option or it will cause no harm or less harm, then I won't keep it a secret
