My first experience with car purchasing || The Road that finally leads somewhere|| Diary Game 4th April 2026

Have you ever been on a road that leads you on, thinking there’s an out at the end, only for you to hit a close?. That is what this journey began to feel like.

Time was 5am, on the cold Friday morning as my companions and I sped out onto the quiet road leading out of my city. We had different destinations in mind, but for most part of the journey, we would be together so it felt quite natural going in a pack. Little did I know that this journey would take me in a circus.

You see, I and my friend had been entrusted with getting some goods, and because we had other engagements that same day, we stepped out early to do this.

Once we got into asaba, we had to wait a little for directions from the people we came to see. We decided to check out some power bikes we saw there.

These bikes were being fixed, but you could tell they were and still are a beauty to behold. Once our address came through, we headed straight to the dealers we had previously contacted.

Lo and behold, they whined us😂😂. The cars we had seen wasn’t as good as we needed it to be, secondly our prices were not aligning. After a back and forth for 2hours, we realized it wouldn’t work. This meant we would get from somewhere else, but where??

Once we were done here, we went in search of our cars, but lo and behold, the vendor had lied to us and had sold the car and promised to find another for us- Now the wait began. After waiting for a while we entered into the streets to search for car dealership shops. After a while, we were able to see what we wanted, but this was already late, of course we couldn’t come back, still I was glad that we found what we went searching for and then I got to learn a few things about three intricacies of human business engagements.

Do you want to buy a vehicle?? Here are a few pointers to note:

1. Have a budget- this determines the kind of vehicle you look out for.

2. Your income will determine the maintenance level - if you’ll be able to keep it.

3. Never pay for a car you haven’t tested. If you can’t go see it, get a trusted car dealer to get one for you.

4. Know the kind of car you want to buy.

There are many other important factors that go into buying a vehicle, I can’t exhaust them here, but I’m glad I got to witness this firsthand.
