SEC-S30W5: Spooky Bedtime Stories | A Night at the Haunted Inn

Jane was in her final year and had some paper work to clear off. Her school was about 2 hours travel away from home. This routine every day gets her exhausted, the school stress and the travels.

One evening, as she was done with school, it was late already and she couldn't get a cab to take her home this made her spend the night in an Inn along the road. She was so tired and feeling sleepy so what was more important to her was to get herself a bed and sleep.

The Inn looks huge though kinda old style. The Innkeeper welcomed her and gave her a room, she thanked her and threw herself on the bed. Though Jane was not used to sleeping out but circumstances has brought her to it, she had no choice but to sleep at the Inn that night.

As she closed her eyes to sleep, suddenly she heard a knock on her door. Than she walk quietly towards her door to see who was knocking but to her suprise, she saw no one at the door. She closed her door but before she could get back to her bed she heard foot steps from outside her room.

Maybe that's the Innkeeper she said to her self, maybe she needed something from me, so she called out but no one answered. She was confused at this point, the knock, the foot steps were not normal.

She closed the door, and went to the bathroom to wash her face while looking at the mirror, then she used her towel to wipe her face still looking at the mirror, and suddenly she saw a shadow figure of someone behind her.

She turned back to check and saw nothing. Maybe I'm too tired she said to herself and went back to bed and slept off.

Then she had an odd nightmare. In her dream, She was breathing heavily, sweating profusely, there stood 4 people staring seriously at her, she tried to scream but couldn't , they kept coming closer to her as she tried to push them away but their eyes kept getting bigger and bigger until she finally woke up. It was so dark and cold, Jane was someone who don't believe in ghost stories but with this happenings , she was scared.

She had this weird feeling someone was with her in her room, she could feel it. So she kept the lights on while she tried to sleep again ignoring the nightmare. Again, someone knocked on her door, quickly she ran to the door and checked from left to right and there was no one.

The knock got her pissed off, she was thinking maybe someone was making fun of her. So she decided to check the other rooms using her phone light, but to her suprise, the other rooms were all locked.

She was shocked to the bone when she turned back to head to her room, seeing someone right in front of her, it was the Innkeeper. The Innkeeper asked her what she was doing there, so she told her everything. The Innkeeper immediately took Jane inside her room and locked the door. Jane was confused, she asked, what's happening? Are you the one messing with me all night?

The Innkeeper told Jane to be calm and told her the story behind the house, that the owner of the house and his family were kall murdered in the house years ago by an unknown people and since then their spirits have been roaming around the house.
The price for renting the house was too good and she had no place to go to so she took the house but because of the ghost stories, no one wants to stay.

Jane was so cold and filled with fear and she didn't go back to her room. She stayed with the innkeeper untill morning when she left.
