Thanks for the comment and taking your time to reflect. Overconfidence really played out here. Even lifeboats on the ship were not even enough because the Titanic was overly hyped as unsinkable. Then the decision taken to speed up really changed their fate. Let's imagine, the ship was moving at that speed before the decision was taken to speed up. Maybe, the force at which the ship crashed with the iceberg, the impact wouldn't have been that much.
Another error here was that the two guys in the crow's nest had no binoculars with them, which made them not to see far. If they had one, they would have seen the iceberg on time.
