Steem4nigeria Accelerator Contest Week 119: My Plans for Steemit Next Year
Introduction
How was 2025 to you on Steemit?

What two things discouraged you from writing and how did you overcome it? Have you overcome it or yet to?
Also, on the list of discouragement, was low likes. Sometimes, I felt discouraged when I write and only to see just one like and sometimes no vote at all. But I persisted in writing. I also followed good writers and my likes and votes began to improve.

What 5 things have you learnt on steemit this year? Do you think you need to work on yourself?
*First, I have learnt about how to write. Through reading from good writers and admins, it has improved my writing prowess. This has translated into my other engagements outside steemit community. I have become a better writer, although not perfect.
*I have also learnt about other people's culture from other continents. Through contests, I have learnt about their foods and how they are cooked. I have one day, tried cooking a meal from Pakistan I saw on the contest. Although, I missed some steps, 😆😆😆 but I had learnt about their diet. One day, I will stay in Nigeria and cook Pakistani's meal. Yes, I will.
*Most importantly, through steemit, I have learnt how to check plagiarism in my writing. I didn't know this before I came to steemit. This really helped me immensely when I was writing my dissertation. Any time I write, I have to copy what I write to check for plagiarism.
*Steemit helped me to be an author. I got the spirit of writing in steemit to write a book. I thought to myself, if I could use the same spirit in writing posts in steemit to write a book, it would be awesome. I started writing my book, Raising Godly Children because of inspiration I got from steemit writing. I published this book on October this year. It was amazing.

*Beside these, steemit also taught me how to be patient. From all the discouragements I experienced, I never back out like my friends whom I introduced steemit to. I knew better days are ahead. Therefore, I have learnt a million thing front steemit this year.
What 3 things would you do differently on steemit next year?
Do you have goals on growing your Steem Power next year? How do you intend achieving this?
Apart from this, I intend to contest for a community moderator by God's grace. I believe, the experiences I have garnered over the years in steemit will help me achieve this.
Let me invite my friends @destinedhanik, @tempestinyang and @greentree to participate in this contest.
Thank you for reading my post. Merry Christmas to all of you.
