In our life, a decision can lead us to the peak of success, and a decision can also bring extreme misery in our life. Similarly, in the movie world, there are many stories where a single decision changes the course of the entire story. Today I am going to write about a movie that not only entertained me but also forced me to think deeply about my own life, decisions and courage.

My chosen movie is a Bollywood movie called “3 Idiots”.

This movie has always been special to me and I have seen this movie many times but it never feels old. Because it is not just a story of three friends, it is an extraordinary journey of our dreams, social pressures, fears and finding our own identity.

The three main characters in this movie are Rancho, Farhan, and Raju. These three characters highlight three different realities of our society. Farhan's character is a student who is insecure and afraid of family pressure, who is studying engineering against his will, abandoning his passion due to family pressure. Raju is the son of a poor family who is always indecisive, believe on prejudice and responsibility of the entire family is on him, so he is always afraid of his future. But the decision of one man turns their lives around. That man is Rancho, the central character of the movie who is creative, fearless and whose desire is to gain knowledge and apply it.

What single decision in the movie changed everything?

Rancho decided that he would never blindly follow the rules of society. He always believed

• Study for learning, not for grades.
• If you chase success, you will fail, but if you chase skill, success will come by itself.

This one decision not only changed his own life, but also revolutionized the lives of his friends.
Farhan, who originally wanted to be a wildlife photographer, inspired him to follow his dreams.
Raju, who had always suffered from fear and prejudice, learned to believe in himself.
On the other hand, this decision gave the three friends the strength to stand up against the system, which initiated the biggest change in their lives.

What would you have done differently?

Honestly, if I were in Rancho's place, I might not have been so brave. I think there are very few brave people in our society. Also, it is not so easy to walk the path we do in our society. Family, relatives, and societal expectations often force us to go against our will. I might have

• At first, tried to follow the rules of society.
• Suppressed my dreams for a while.
• Finally, chose the safe path.

But with time, I would have realized that nothing that goes against my own wishes can bring lasting happiness. So maybe even if it is late, I would have walked the path of my dreams, just like Rancho did from the beginning.

Did the character’s choice feel right or wrong to you? And why?

In my view, Rancho's decision was undoubtedly the right one. Because he never gave up his dreams to fulfill the expectations of others. He always believed in himself. He not only lit up his own life but also the lives of others. His courage and thinking changed the lives of his friends. He proved that the definition of success can be different. What society calls "success" is not always true success. Also, his decision is a message for the future "Following your passion is the real victory."

However, it cannot be denied that his path was risky. Not everyone can walk this path. But those who can, make history. The movie shows that it is not possible to take any big decision without conquering fear. Finally, I would say that being like Rancho is not easy, but it is possible to learn to think like him.
