💥 Should You Leave a Relationship After the First Major Disrespect?
Let’s be honest.
Everybody says: “Leave the first time they disrespect you.”
But is it really that simple?
What if it was done in anger?
What if it was a mistake?
What if they apologized sincerely?
Are we building strong relationships… or disposable ones?
Some people believe: One major disrespect = automatic breakup.
Others believe: Growth includes mistakes, apologies, and change.
But here’s the deeper question:
Are you leaving because:
•It hurt your ego?
•You fear it will happen again?
•Or because you truly see a pattern?
Real maturity is knowing the difference between: 🚩 A red flag
and
⚠️ A human mistake
If someone disrespects you once and truly changes — do they deserve another chance?
Or does self-respect mean walking away immediately?
Let’s talk honestly:
👉 Would you stay after the first major disrespect?
👉 Or is one strike enough for you?

@romainej I love your post and I think that emotional intelligence should come into play which would mean tolerance and forgiveness when a mistake is made, whether big or small. Regardless, if it resorts to violence, no one should tolerate that!
Nonetheless, why get into a relationship if you're gonna walk out the moment an altercation occurs. Things don't always go our way.
I love your post by the way
