Steem4nigeria Accelerator Contest Week 140: Just Broken, Not Dead
Hello friends!!

What's something that happened to you and felt impossible to get through but you did? |
|---|
It was a season of betrayal. Betrayed by people you felt can never do that to you. People I literally gave my life for. At that season I get life wasn't worth living.
That particular day it happened I felt ill instantly, couldn't eat or sleep, I kept wondering at night while others slept. I cried for days and at some point I started praying not to have a heart attack.
It was a though season for me. When people break trust it's usually so hard to trust them again or to even open your heart to others. It was so impossible to get through with it but I did. Thanks to God.
How has this tough time changed what you value most? |

Well going through those time of betrayal changed my mindset a lot about friendship, trust and love. Now am more careful about who I let into my space and who I trust to call friends or family.
Now I value my self more and spend time more with my self and with those friends I have already built trust with over time than new friends. Am no longer quick to believe what people say to me, I now read actions more.
What's a small win you've had recently that felt huge? |
|---|
For me that small win would be, focusing on my mental health. I became very worried about so many things but recently I made up my mind to live, think and breath!
I was able to avoid breaking down mentally, many people don't know how to detect when they are having a mental breakdown but am grateful in my case I was able to detect it early so I found a way to avoid it instantly.
What's a new perspective you've gained on life or yourself? |
|---|
I realized that life is a gift and it must be cherished. So there is no need thinking over what you can't control, rather it's better to live your best life at every moment given. That's what am practicing.
I also leant that I am my priority and God is counting on me to take care of me. He won't come down to do so he entrust me with that responsibility.
Is it really true that "What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger". Why? |
|---|
source |
|---|
Yes absolutely ! What does not kill you is meant to make you stronger. Stronger in the sense that it improves you making you better.
For instance, when I went through the experience I described earlier, I didn't die but I became wiser. This simply means I grew in experiential knowledge. Meaning I became stronger through that experience.

Thank you @lirvic
Hello ma'am, indeed what cannot kill us only makes us stronger and better than before. If all those experiences didn't happen in your life you wouldn't be wise to choose your friends and you wouldn't prioritize your mental health as well. But through your experiences you become more wiser and stronger. Thank you for sharing ma'am.
