Celebrations has become a part of human life here on earth.

What does Easter mean to you, why do you celebrate it

Easter means many things to many people but for me Easter is day set aside to celebrate what God did for us. And what did he do? He gave himself for us just to save us from sin.

Easter is a time all over the world where Christians celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus. If he didn't die, we won't have salvation, we won't be saved. We won't have escaped hell.

His death made us overcome sin, sicknesses and diseases, poverty and lack, the flesh and self.

The basic reason why I celebrate Easter is because Jesus said we should remember his death, he even broke bread and ask us to do it in remembrance of him. He doesn't want us to forget what he did for us .

Another reason I celebrate Easter is because I need to refresh my mind on the victory I have in Christ. My new position and my authority in Christ. This alone is the sum total of everything.

How did you celebrate your Easter this year

This year has been different from other years before me. This is my first Easter been married.
As usual my church normally holds a special Easter program every year and this year wasn't left out.

The program started on Friday morning and ended Easter Sunday. So I spent my Easter in God's presence. I went to church on Friday morning. We had both morning and evening session.

I enjoyed my self in the presence of God with brothers and sisters in the Lord, receiving the word of God and seeing lovely faces that I haven't seen in a while.

Reached out to my friend on Saturday only to find out she has been under the weather. I got worried a little but am glad she is much better now. I also reached out to other people in my life to wish them a happy Easter.

What is/was your favorite thing about Easter

Formally my favorite thing about Easter was the food I eat and places I visit. But now that am older it has changed.

My favorite thing about Easter is that I have a have an opportunity to fellowship with the brethren in church, worshipping and been reminded of all Christ do for me on Calvary.

First accepting to die. And when he died, went to hell, made a public show of Satan in hell, he didn't remain in the grave, he rose up and ascended into heaven and gave me my new position.

The above mentioned are my favorite thing about Easter. I get to remind myself that Satan has no hold on me, he is defeated. I am seated with Christ far above him.
