●◉Hello Steem4Nigeria!◉●

Every new year gives us a chance to think again. About our mistakes., about our dreams. This challenge made me stop and reflect deeply. I am not perfect but I believe thinking honestly can change many things. These words come from my heart and real observations.

◉1.If you were given full authority for one year in your community or country, what is the first issue you would address?

My first issue , I will address is youth skill unemployment not only joblessness. Many young people have Master degrees but no real skills. They have to sit at home feeling useless. I see this daily around me. I want to start free skill centers in every area. In which they can learn positive use of modern technology. Small centers, simple skills. Like digital writing, repair work, farming tools and basic online earning. Not big buildings, only useful learning. When youth learn skills, they gain confidence. They stop waiting for government jobs only. Example, one boy in my area learned mobile repair and now earns daily. This change mindset. For me, skills give dignity.

Food alone is not enough we need also respect. So this will be my first focus. Because skilled hands can fix many other problems later.

◉2.Why did you choose this issue over others?

I choose youth skill unemployment because it is the root of many other problems. Crime, depression, drug use even family fights. When a young person has nothing to do, mind becomes heavy. I saw friends who were good students but now lost hope. Some left country dreams only. Roads, hospitals, prices are important too but without skilled people, nothing runs well. According to me, If youth become skilled, they can support families, pay health bills and even build better roads themselves. My cousin learned graphic design online. He now supports his parents. Government did nothing special for him. Skill saved him. That’s why I choose this issue first. Fixing youth means fixing future. If future is strong, other issues become easier to handle. This is my thinking.

◉3.What is that one difficult decision you would have to make?

The most difficult decision I would make is cutting free cash support for able youth and replacing it with mandatory training. Many people love free money. But free money makes people lazy sometimes. I know people will get angry. They will say government is heartless. But I believe support without effort kills growth. I will say, if we are healthy, we must learn one skill to receive support. Example, attend training 3 days a week. Then we get allowance. This decision will hurt feelings at first. Some protests but long term, it helps us stand on our feet.

Even parents not like it. Still, leadership needs hard choices. I will not remove help fully. I will change its direction. From hand out to hand up. This decision will be heavy on my heart but it is needed.

◉4.How would you explain this decision to people who disagree with you?

I will explain calmly not with anger. I will talk like a brother, not ruler. I will say, I am not taking help from you, I am protecting your future. I will use simple examples. Like teaching a child to walk instead of carrying him always. I will invite community leaders, parents, youth. Open talks. No police force talk. I will show success stories. Like people who learned skills and now earn. I will also listen to criticism. Some people have real problems. Disabled, old, sick. They will still get full support. I will make this clear again and again. Disagreement is very normal but honesty builds trust. If everyone is not agree, at least he will understand my intention. And understanding is first step to acceptance.

Hi @ridwant, welcome to thinking and ideas week 1

My Observations:

Unemployment of youths in a community, amounts to so many problems faced ine that community because when they are ideal, they think of an evil to perform. I think your government would do well, if the right strategies are laid.
