My Neighborhood Watch #81 - Reporting Events Around us

Greetings dear friends, it's another day of the week and I'm delighted to share with you all my entry in the contest organised here in this community by @xkool24 which talks about My Neighborhood Watch #81 - Reporting Events Around us.

This contest offers us the opportunity to share with the world through the Steemit platform the happening around us. Today I will like to discuss a few of the happening so read through and have fun.

It was the first day of the month and year January and 2025 respectively. As the customs of the people demands, after church during the evening period everyone will have to assemble in the house of the former minister of information in the person of Labaran Maku.

Usually, the Eggon people are known for their dance which is done only on very sensitive occasions, Christmas and New year inclusive. This year wasn't an exception because same dance took place. As the customs demand, Christmas dance is to take place in the market Square whereas New Year dance is to hold in the house of the former minister.

So having stayed with them for a couple of years, I also went to the place where the dance was taking place. This time I was able to also join them in the dance. So the images you see in this picture are all the images I took in the scene of the event.

It was indeed a memorable moment as the occasion this year is graced by some prominent men and women in the state. Everyone was talking about this year's dancing event as it recorded one of the highest population in recent times and was also graced by dignitaries around Nigeria.

Also for the first time during this occasion we had a lot of sponsors within and outside the community which made the organisers of the program to share drinks and lots of food for everyone. It was indeed a memorable event because it was very lively.

So dear friends and fellow steemians that is the current happening around me. A lot of people who travel out came back because of this celebration and that is why many people said it is the first of its kind. I'm delighted to have also witness such an event for the second third time here in Nasarawa State Nigeria. I'm inviting those around Nigeria and beyond to come to this event next year again as it will be more massive considering the promises made by lots of prominent men and women who graced the occasion.

Plans as to the celebration of next year dance is already in motion because they people that came around promised to make it a world class invent and from next year we will see lots of changes that may leave of us speechless. So we await the new year celebration dear friends you are all invited as well.
