Morning preparing the Materials:-as I went to the site to start work on the lintel formwork at our site work. First, I gathered all the materials that will be needed when working

•Wooden planks for the base and sides
• Nails and hammer to fix everything together
• Support props strong sticks to hold the formwork up
• Measuring tape and level to make sure everything was straight

I measured and checked the window opening again to confirm the measurements, I needed to start forming the lintels base needed, it's was a 600cm width and a 1200cm window.

Afternoon: Building the Formwork by cutting the Wood, first I measured and cut the planks to the right size, the bottom piece was as wide as the walls, and the side pieces were tall enough to hold the concrete.

Assembling the Mold: I nailed all the bottom plank in place, then attached the side planks to make it a U-shaped mold,i added extra wood pieces to keep the sides from bending when the concrete would be poured.

By Checking the Levels:- I used the spirit level to make sure the mold was perfectly horizontal, a crooked lintel would cause problems later!

By Adding Supports:- I placed strong wooden props underneath to hold the formwork in his place. I didn’t want it to collapse under the weight of the wet concrete mortar.

In the Evening:- me Pouring the Concrete, i mixed the concrete mortar with granite, sand, cement, water and before i started the pouring, I sprinkled water on the wood to keep it from absorbing too much moisture from the concrete, i filled the mold slowly, because if I go harder it might break, then I tap the sides with a stick to remove air bubbles.

After I was done with the pouring, finally I covered the lintel with damp sacks to help it cure properly.

At the End of the Day i was tiring, but I’m happy with how it turned out. Tomorrow, I’ll check if the concrete is setting well. Maybe in a few days, I can remove the formwork and see the finishing work how it look like.
