You wrote an interesting story. It reminds me of all those TV shows where people sing or act. Some het mad, others do 't. From what I know is that those who became most famous and still as after years, all never were the number one or two of the jury. This means that "almost" is enough to be discovered. Most important is to do what you love. If you manage that you will noticed simply because you shine.
