Steem4nigeria Accelerator Contest Week 119: My Plans for Steemit Next Year
Hello my dear Steemians,
Today I wanted to write for this contest that is running by @steem4nigeria , here is the link if you are also interested:
It is typical for us, human that at the end of the year we look back to analyse how the year was for us. As to me, I was glad that the year was good for me and my family and that is great, we have to be grateful for every single day when we and our family are healthy and safe.
As to Steemit year, I can say that it was also very good day for me, I set up my goal beginning of the year that I will be active and keep posting if possible every day. Being active is very important that helps other users to see you and also to learn more about us.
Initially I thought just to post about my day, what I do and what is happening but very soon I noticed that it is very lonely if we just write about us and stay for us. Therefore, I decided to take part in many different contest, this way I was visible for many as a participant of the contests and also for others to learn me.
What I learnt that when people start their journey with almost no experience and no friends hten you are alone. There are two things that discouraged me from writing initially:
Despite of doing everything right, like voting users, writing own texts and not using AI and of course, no plagiarising others, I noticed that users did not visit my posts
Initially I was spending much time for my writing and felt alone
With time I became more active in different communities and was writing comments despite of short replies people were very friendly and it was very nice to feel that support. I am glad that those activities made it possible to be recognised as member of communities that already open a door to many opportunities on Steemit such as challenges, contests and also you are then visible for Curators too.
My five things I learnt on Stemeit this year:
to be active every day, that will keep your account fresh and you will be visible for others, all new posts appear higher up in lists
do give Upvote for users if you like their posts, even if you have very little Steem Power and Upvote Power that is positive sign. People will be happy to have an upvote of support from anyone
try to convert any Steem that you earned into Steem Power so that your strength is growing and you will become stronger
if you like any post you can leave a comment, we all love feedback and we all would be happy to see that what we wrote is valued by others
take part in contests and challenges that will also give you visibility
This year, due to my tight schedule I was not able to do daily posts, therefore my list of stuff that I will do differently will be:
try to do daily posts
I love writing therefore, will try to do more writing stories, that is also possible when we take part in writing contests
I will see if there will be any opportunity then to be more active as maybe moderator of any community
Yes, that is something that I am going to try to. The whole goal of me joining to Steemit was to pay for my study, which is currently does not look like it is going to happen due to low value of Steem and that this year it was not good year for Steem. I still hope that the value of it will grow and that will help me to pay for my study. I am going to continue my active engagement and will continue to stay in #club5050 that will make it possible to collect Steem that I may withdraw for my study and half for Steem Power
