The Round Table - Semi Lock Down Day 1
May 15 is the day our beloved Government decided, probably inspired by other nations, to relax the freedom tightening measures that COVID-19 brought ever since the pandemic started. What exactly are we talking about? Well, it means that as of today we can wander around the town at any hour, for how long do we wish to, and we don't have to carry the damn affidavit every time we get out.
We do have to have one if we get to other cities and that means full freedom for the people of this country is not yet in sight. I met with a friend earlier today though, and we spent about four hours setting in place and first disentangle a quite long irrigation hose that his currently in works small garden needs. The ditch was already dug by him so my help came just for the shitty part of disentanglement and the burial of the damn hose into the ditch.
He bought a few months ago a small piece of land in the vicinity of our town and while on lock down he spent some time there, doing a bit of gardening and some handmade chairs and tables made of car tires, that you can see in the first pic. The plan for today was to bring the water up from the entrance to the small garden, through the hose, and to some extent we manage to do that. Something like 89% job done, I could say. The sun wasn't too strong and the physical movement came right on time.
In the pic below you have the handmade chairs and table, that unfortunately served us for nothing today because we didn't rest for one minute but, they will for sure gather us around a barbecue pretty soon. Aren't they cool?

I didn't know that he had a hammock there, because I would have got there sooner, to swing in that hammock for a few minutes/hours but, now I do, and I will get back in the days to come. I always hesitate a bit when getting on them but once in balance it's great to spend some time outside this way.
When he bought the land, that is near the E70, which is the European road that passes by our town going from Timisoara to Bucharest, he took with the land some 30 plum trees as well, already planted there, a few apple trees and and a bit of vine but, not too many flowers. The ground is mostly covered in grass and it needs some preparations before building a cabin there. Time will make all of them happen.
In the last pic from the post, you can see the damn hose that wasn't quite easy to take off and pull it straight through the ditch. Pretty much like the relaxation out of this shitty pandemic but we finally did it. We also went to the supermarket afterwards and it's now mandatory to wear a mask when entering close shops but...
... I won't show you any pic of myself wearing that mask because it's not something I would be proud of. I don't want anyone to unfollow me and leave my blog deserted after showing myself masked. I have to say that as much as I liked hanging in that hammock I hate wearing that mask, and getting my temperature checked when entering the supermarket. Not cool guys.
Anyway, this was my first semi lock down day 1 thus far, and here you have some of the pics I took there. Hope you like em, and that you have/had a great Friday, no matter where you are in the world, and tell me if you like the hand made chairs and table. It's BMW wheels, if that matters ;-)
Thanks for attention,
Adrian
