Art in the Time of Covid: Maximizing Points of Publicity
I love working with art; I love the creative process.
However, I'd be lying if I didn't also admit that I love selling my art.
In the time of Covid, that has become a greater challenge than ever.
This year, all the fall and Holiday arts and crafts shows we normally attend were canceled, meaning that I also didn't get to have any of that income.
It's one thing to be a "starving artist," and I get that, but it's quite another to have what little income sources you do have taken away.
Having to "make up for it" with online sales, means I am trying to use every possible avenue to just generate awareness of my work.
It's not easy — because I really don't like self-promotion, but it has to be done! So I've decided to take a few minutes every day to post photos of new/recent work.
Thanks in advance for looking, and for your interest!
Thank you for supporting independent art!
Because I am trying to make some semblance of income — a living, even — I now add this footer to all my posts, in the hope that someone, somewhere, might decide to take a further look at my work, and perhaps consider supporting independent art.
