Photowalks around Peterhof - Walk in the Lower Park

Today I continue to talk about my photo walk around Peterhof.

Last time I talked about how the guide and I went down to the technical rooms of the Main Cascade of Fountains. After we left the cellars, we began to go downstairs to walk in the park.

The slopes of the hill on which the Grand Palace is located, delighted the eye with the emerald color of a well-kept lawn, and crowds of tourists scurried around.

The walking area in front of the palace was also very well maintained. There were also small fountains.

And in this photo, which I took already moving away from the main cascade of fountains, you can see the whole ensemble, consisting of a palace and a large number of fountains. Imagine, once on summer evenings, Russian Emperors and their entourage walked here. I must say that they knew how to chic.

And then we went with a group of tourists right to the park.

After passing some distance along the alley, we went to the bridge over the Sea Canal. From here, the Grand Palace was visible. Please note that even along the canal there are many fountains.

And on the other side of the bridge the canal went into the distance, flowing into the Gulf of Finland.

While walking in the park it was a bit dark due to shadows from densely planted trees.

Having walked a bit along the alleys, we went to another fountain. This fountain is called "Eve."

It turns out that this fountain has a couple, which is located in another part of the park. And this fountain is called, what do you think? Of course Adam. And these fountains, as it were, personify the married couple of Emperor Peter the Great and his wife Catherine.
