One of the thing that hurts me, Racism

In life, there are a lot of hurts and ill feelings which emanates from incidents and happenings both pleasant and unpleasant one. But some can be so painful, depending on individuals. One of the things I so much feel bad on is racism and this has been a long-lasting issue in the world at large. It is widely believed that we are all created by God and we all have the right to live, whether of white or black skin.

Each race members indeed possesses different characteristics, abilities or qualities specific to its self which could make it feel superior to the other. But this has continually continued among the white and black race in the diaspora, whereby the blacks has constantly suffered a lot of trauma.

The world is a free place of existence, with understanding everyone is allowed to live anywhere in the world especially as there is a provision of laws abiding citizens in their respective countries. All that is expected is to treat people equally by the rule of law and punish offenders as the law specifies. This has not been in most cased reported as a result of racism. Most time this has resulted in many blacks suffering so much stress psychologically and physiologically which is has been so harmful in there health, thereby causing them low productivity of their potentials.

In the states, while in school, most children and students are always intimidated, called all manner of names, downtrodden and intimidated, why­? It is not supposed to be so.

Recently on May 27th, 2020. A recent case was reported of a murder of George Floyd who was arrested and handcuffed by police in Minneapolis city in the United States of America. The Police ended up killing him. This I believed wouldn’t have been if they were both white. The act of racism seems as if the white does not want the black-skinned people to exist. We have had the story of Adolf Hitler of Germany who never wanted the black race to exist, rather wanted to wipe away the whole of African continent with atomic bomb years ago, killed so many.

So many blacks were killed both in the past century and present, via the slave trade and other means. These incidents when remembered or read in documentaries hurts me so much and sometimes make me cry. Notwithstanding, my plight is that everyone should be allowed to live a free life, feel secured wherever you are no matter what race you are. The laws should be allowed to guide everyone without sentiment or discrimination, and love someone else as you wish to be loved should overrule our conscience.
