Somehow, I was fortunate enough to get a couple of nice votes on my "back on Steemit" post last week, which allowed me to power up a bit.

No great shakes, but at least I have now passed 100SP, making me feel a little less like a total noob.

Since it had been almost three years since I last updated, I also decided it would be a good idea to check in on my witness votes.

Witnesses are pretty important, as they keep the Steem blockchain — and thus Steemit — running and in good order.

Thankfully, the few votes I had previously assigned were for "old favorites" who are still around, but I added some more recent witnesses to my "approved" list, based to some degree on some of the recent developments on Steemit.

I have been particularly interested to see several initiatives bringing on old-time arcade style games online here!

I was never a big gamer in the conventional sense, but I always enjoyed puzzle games and other challenge games like Tetris, Space Invaders, Asteroid and such... very "retro," I know.

It was fun to try out the "Steem Heights" game on @steempro.com and I even won a small prize in Steem. Very cool!

I also tried @steemhop.org's "SteemHop" game, but so far I'm not turning out to be any good at it. But maybe that will come with practice!

I also checked out @cur8's game platform, and that was fun, as well.... but I clearly need a lot more practice at some of these games! I could definitely tell that it has been years since I last touched arcade type games.
