Where there's a Way there's a Will.. Ft. Wild Mushrooms
Being in nature is one of my faverite things to do.
Now that we have the State of alarm lifted here in Madrid and being given one hour per day to be outside, we aretaking full advantage of the opportunity and making use of it to the best of our ability. It's also a great way to catch up with the spring blossom that we missed when spring started.
Yesterday was wonderful, we took a long walk through the neighborhood in some abandoned space that I recently shared with you guys. The plan was to go explore the place some more, climb on those big beautiful trees and enjoy the fresh breeze. It started out great until it got better when we discovered this secret passage that opens up to one of the biggest wild peace of land I have seen so far in Madrid.
It was breathtakingly beautiful. So many wild flowers, beautiful, in all colors. There were small trails which could only mean a couple more people know of the place though we didn't spot a single human, only wild bunnies.
Along the way, somewhere in those long beautiful wild plants was this burnt peace of wood and some mushrooms sprouting out of it. How beautiful they seemed sitting there unbothered. It quite poetic if you think about it.
Burnt wood growing mushrooms
Of all the places these mushrooms could have grown out of, they chose to go through this peace of wood. It got me thinking of strong will and that infamous quote where there's a will, there's a way.
Indeed.
This just basically means,
-Pauline Kael
This pretty much applies to anything we do in life. What's it that they Confucius say again? That's right;
The will to win, the desire to succeed, the urge to reach your full potential... these are the keys that will unlock the door to personal excellence.
So, whatever it is that you are working at, give it your all. If this little, brainless mushrooms can make a way where there seems to be none, there's no reason why you & I, fully intelligent human beings cannot do the same. Perhaps this is a lesson of patience and persistence that we need to take into account.
I don't know about you guys, but nature truly inspires me to be a better version of myself. It's one of the most humbling yet fulfilling experience. The older I get, the more I appreciate it.
Hope you enjoyed this post. Have a Great Day Hive.
