Institutions are the biggest buyer of Bitcoin, but Retail isn't far behind

We like to say retail isn't even here yet, but they really never left

According to a research note put out by JPMorgan, retail has likely bought almost as much bitcoin as institutions over the last 9 months.

Check it out:

Q3 and Q1 were dominated by retail flows while Q4 was dominated by institutional flows.

If you add them all up retail comes in slightly behind institutions due to the huge surge in demand during Q4 from institutions.

I had actually expected retail to be further behind than this, and they may actually be when you include some of the Coinbase Pro data that hasn't been publicly disclosed as of yet.

Stay informed my friends.

Everything seems backwards this from some respects. Retail is there but I feel like people are more cautious. A lot of YouTubers are making videos about cash out plans. That wasn't really something that was talked about last time around. Most of the big YouTubers were new to the market last time and got dropped on their heads.

I can't help but think that the Institutions will dump on everyone's head . They aren't looking to ride this thing down most likely.

A great word for the wise. @jrcornel thanks for this teachings
