Hi, dear friends of Steemit. I have made this publication bilingual (Eng/Spa) so that both audiences can enjoy an Afternoon at the Theatre.

Hola apreciados amigos de Steemit. Esta publicación la he realizado bilingüe (Inglés/Español) para que ambas audiencias puedan disfrutar de una Tarde en el Teatro.

I had the great opportunity to attend the Luis Mariano Rivera Theatre, in the city of Cumaná (Venezuela), to see the Lion King Musical.


Tuve la gran oportunidad de asistir al teatro Luis Mariano Rivera, en la ciudad de Cumaná (Venezuela), para ver el Musical del Rey León.

I didn't have money to buy a ticket but the director of the play was Orlando a great friend of mine and he sent me a courtesy ticket. The assigned seat was on one side and the view from that place was not good for taking pictures; however, I tried.

No tenía dinero para comprar el ticket pero el director general de la obra era Orlando, un gran amigo mío, y él me envió una entrada de cortesía. La butaca asignada estaba en un lateral y la visión desde ese lugar no era buena para tomar fotografías; no obstante, yo lo intenté.

Underneath the stage were the colors of the Venezuelan flag

Debajo del escenario estaban los colores de la bandera de Venezuela

The theater was full. The play was presented in December 2018. The theme of the musical was the film The Lion King. The cast of the play was professional theater actors, ballet dancers, young actors and extras.

El aforo del teatro estaba lleno. La obra la presentaron en diciembre del año 2018. El tema del musical era la película El Rey León. El elenco de la obra eran actores profesionales de teatro, bailarinas de ballet, jóvenes actores y extras.

I hadn't seen the rehearsals so I didn't know what to expect.

Yo no había visto los ensayos por lo que no sabía qué me esperaba.

Generally, flash is not allowed in these installations. So under these circumstances one must have intuition and try to do the best possible photographic work.

Generalmente, en estas instalaciones no se permite utilizar flash. Por lo que bajo estas circunstancias uno debe tener intuición y tratar de hacer el mejor trabajo fotográfico posible.

That afternoon I didn't have the best of luck to take the pictures. The angle was not the best and, in addition, the light effects in the play prevented the actors from focusing correctly. But the musical was spectacular.

Esa tarde no tuve la mejor de las suertes para hacer las fotografías. El ángulo no era el mejor y, además, los efectos de luces de la obra impedían enfocar correctamente a los actores. Pero el musical estuvo espectacular.

So I decided to use the online program Collage.es that allows you to group photos, create some modifications such as borders or frames, add emojis or stickers, and then give them online to some friends or acquaintances who participated in this play.

Entonces decidí utilizar el programa online Collage.es que permite agrupar fotografías, crearles algunas modificaciones como bordes o marcos, añadirles emojis o calcomanías, y luego regalarlas por internet a algunos amigos o conocidos que participaron en esta obra.

In this way, my photos far away from the stage were a way to applaud the great emotional moments I enjoyed when I was in the theatre that day.

De esta manera, mis fotos muy distanciadas del escenario eran una manera de aplaudir los grandes momentos emotivos que disfruté cuando estuve ese día en el teatro.

Here the actors share with the audience. There are many selfie, hugs and congratulations.

Aquí los actores comparten con el público. Hay muchos selfie, abrazos y felicitaciones.

        Disfruté muchísimo la obra. Estuvo muy buena. Lo malo es que perdí muchas fotografías (según mi criterio artístico) pero uno siempre encuentra la manera de compartir y guardar los recuerdos. Un abrazo
