LET GOD LEAD AND YOU FOLLOW
"ALSO THE HAND OF GOD WAS ON JUDAH TO GIVE THEM SINGLENESS OF HEART TO OBEY THE COMMAND OF THE KING AND THE LEADERS, at the word of the LORD.
2 Chronicles 30:12 (NKJV)
"AT THE SAME TIME, God’s hand was on the people in the land of Judah, GIVING THEM ALL ONE HEART TO OBEY THE ORDERS OF THE KING AND HIS OFFICIALS, WHO WERE FOLLOWING THE WORD OF THE LORD.
2 Chronicles 30:12 (NLT)
If you are appointed to lead in any field of endeavour, allow God to take the lead or do the leading whilst you follow.
The work of leadership would be made easy or done with ease If you did allow God to take the lead,
The truth is, If you follow the Word of God, and being led by God through the Holy Spirit on the inside of you; you would have good followership—people would follow you.
God would take over from you and use you as a front, If you would allow Him.
If you put God in His place in your life, you will experience blessings and honour.
If you find it difficult to control the people under your leadership, you should check your followership.
If you are not following God with all your heart, you may find it difficult to control the people under your leadership.
In some cases also, If you are not following or submissive to God's delegated authority over your life as you should, you may find it difficult to lead and control or direct the people under your leadership (Matthew 9:9).
If as a married woman, you do not submit to your husband as commanded by the Bible, you may not earn or receive the respect you deserve from the people outside (Ephesians 5:22; Colossians 3:18).
If you are rebellious to your pastor, you would see yourself being a victim of disfavour, rejection, disappointment and failure (1 Thessalonians 5:12,13; 1 Peter 5:5; Hebrews 13:7,17).
In the spiritual principles, whatever you sow, that you also would reap (Galatians 6:7).
If you as a believer in Christ did not obey the word of God to the letter, you would see yourself having problems with the people. Without your total obedience to God's instructions, honour might be farfetched for you.
If you also want to please man, rather than God, you would see yourself experiencing persecutions, humiliations and afflictions from the people (Galatians 1:10). Those who supposed not to dishonour you would be rude to you, dishonour and disrespect you.
If you go against God's specific instructions given to you, you also should expect dishonour and disrespect from the people who are not up to you (1 Kings 11:14,23,26).
All the things mentioned here are spiritual principles which if you violated, the repercussions or consequences would be there—would be your experience. It happened to Solomon in the passage quoted above (1 Kings 11:14,23,26).
Some of the negative things that are being experienced by some believers are as a result of being disobedient to the Bible principles. The pathetic or regretful aspect of it is, some of the believers experiencing such things might not know that what they are experiencing are signs that God's hand is against them.
King Hezekiah and his officials were following God, that was the reason why God put His hand on the people of the land to obey the king and other leaders and the officials (2 Chronicles 30:12).
The people of the land, the people of Judah, had a strong desire to unite in obeying the commands given by the king and his officials (2 Chronicles 30:12).
In order to lead successfully, you have to follow God wholeheartedly and unwaveringly.
In following God, you do that through your obedience to His Word, both the written Word and the specific instructions given to you through the Holy Spirit on the inside of you: "STUDY THIS BOOK OF INSTRUCTION CONTINUALLY. MEDITATE ON IT DAY AND NIGHT SO YOU WILL BE SURE TO OBEY EVERYTHING WRITTEN IN IT. ONLY THEN WILL YOU PROSPER AND SUCCEED IN ALL YOU DO" (Joshua 1:8 NLT).
READ: Romans 8:14
Your obedience to God and His words makes you qualify to lead successfully.
You can only earn respect when you follow God by doing or practicing His words (Joshua 1:8; Psalm 1:1-3).
Thus, you would need to pay attention to the practice of the Word of God in order to be qualified for successful leadership (James 1:22-25).
Joshua was told by God to study the Scripture and meditate or ponder on it and be sure to obey it in order to prosper and succeed in the leadership assignment that was given to him (Joshua 1:8).
As a believer in Christ, If you want to lead through your senses without God's inputs, you may not excel in the assignment; particularly If it was a ministry related assignment.
You should know that leadership in any field of endeavour and at whatever capacity entails a spiritual fervour.
Even those who are not born-again believers who found themselves in big organizations and political offices—serving in one leadership capacity or another—used to consult different spiritual mediums, seeking for power to lead and be successful in their respective leadership positions.
You need God's wisdom and power to lead and cause the people to follow and obey the orders or commands being given by you.
The devil has nothing to offer you, the best leadership principles are found in the Word of God, the Bible.
If you can study and ponder or meditate on the Word of God day and night, as Joshua was admonished to do, you will surely command respect in your leadership assignment (Joshua 1:8).
As a believer, success is by God's help (Psalm 121:1). The devil has nothing to offer you.
If ignominy and ridicule would not be your lot in your leadership assignment, allow God to lead you!
You will not fail in Jesus' name. Peace!
