Yummy Seafood Feast in Kuala Selangor

Hello everyone! Today I thought of sharing a post with some yummy pictures of what I had a recently.

This is the River View Restaurant which is situated in Kuala Selangor, Malaysia. My family and I were actually in Kuala Selangor to buy some fish and seafood in the market. We chose to eat lunch there as it will be way past lunch if we drive back home right after our seafood shopping. That is my mother, brother and I checking in and scanning using the My Sejahtera mobile app which was launched due to the Covid 19 pandemic.

This is a statue of a crab which is the main special delicacy of the restaurant. They even provide customers with food grade hammers to aid them while eating the crabs.

This is the counter of the restaurant. They have listed most of the drinks that they offer on top.

This is Sze Chuan steamed stingray. It was made with the Sze Chuan chilli which is a very spicy chilli. I blurted out the words "Oh my Lord" the moment I put a piece in my mouth! If you have gastric issues or acid reflux, then it is best to be cautious and test a small amount first otherwise it will cause heartburn for sure.

It was brought in a hot pot like this. It had the fire burning under it, heating the stingray for a while until it went out on its own.

Here's a closer look of it. Although it was spicy, it was yummy!

This is a plate of salted egg squids. Please forgive me for this blur looking picture. It looks like that because this is a cropped image of another picture which was not focused on this. I didn't take a picture of it because I thought my brother and dad took it and they assumed vice versa. In the end, none of us got a proper picture of the dish.

This is a plate of sizzling homemade taufu and it came boiling :D There is an omelette beneath the taufu. This is a must have whenever we visit this restaurant.

This is garlic you mak. This is the first time I am trying this vegetable and it tasted good. Perhaps I can start buying it so I can cook it myself at home.

This is butter prawns with some cucumber. They are my favourite! Even the butter crumbs taste great!

We also got a bowl of rice for each person. Rice is a staple food here and it is almost 'compulsory' to have it every day.

These are the drinks that my family and I ordered for ourselves. I know it is bad to consume drinks with ice cubes especially during and after a meal, but this is a cheat day :D

This is a jar of peppermint drink that my brother got for himself.

This is a glass of pineapple juice, which is what my father ordered for himself. it was quite thick in texture.

This is a jar of lemon drink which is what I got for myself. My mother ordered the same as well.

This is the bill. Everything costed RM 133.80 which is 32.28 USD at the time I am typing this post. It may seem like a large amount but it is actually not because seafood generally does cost more than regular mixed meal and this is the restaurant I have found to be the best priced with quality among all the seafood restaurants I have ever been to.
