Tutorial on how to prepare Fresh Curry Rice|| You mustn't eat Jollof and Fried rice always.

Hello intelligent minds, I believe you had a wonderful day today. Mine was beautiful cos I really didn't have much work plus the good news i got today about my redeployment to Lagos State, Nigeria.

I had talked about my redeployment in some other post and how it has been delayed for more than one month now. Well, I was happy to wake up to it this morning. It was shocking but I was happy.

I had always tried to imagine what my reaction would be on getting the redeployment but my reaction today was no where close to what imagined.

I had enough rest and made a delicious meal for dinner. I made fresh Curry rice and would like to share my recipes in this post.

I know how eating only jellof and fried rice can be very tiring. Most people don't know that there are other ways you can prepare and enjoy rice, of which some of them are fresh Curry rice, Palm oil rice, vegetable rice.

There are so many of them i will teach my steemit friends here but as said earlier, we will start with the curry rice.

INGREDIENTS

• Rice
• Fish
• Groundnut oil
• Onion
• Fresh pepper
• Fresh tomatoes
• Curry powder
• Tumeric powder
• Ginger
• Garlic
• Curry leaves
• Maggi cubes
• Chicken stock
• salt
• A pin of Love 😍

I wasn't the one who went to get this ingredients from the market so I couldn't attach the prices to them.

Now let's get into the preparation proper.

PREPARATION

I wash my fish and marinated it for 10mins before frying I didn't boil.
Parboiled the rice, wased and set it aside until it is needed
I washed the tomatoes and cut them into small Chops
I washed the pepper and blended it with some garlic
I picked the curry leaves from the stem
Boom!!!! We are ready to cook

STEP ONE

Introduce the ground nut oil into a clean dried pot and allow it to heat up before you put the onions.

STEP TWO

After frying the onion for sometime, add the tomatoes, pepper and garlic, turmeric, curry powder, and continue frying

STEP THREE

Have a taste of the sauce frying already to know if it still slaps. When it stops it's slapping taste, add the chicken stock, Maggi, Curry leaves and stir frying for 5 mins.

STEP FOUR

Add some more water and allow it to boil, taste to know if it is tasty then add the parboiled rice. Stir it with a wooden spoon and allow the water to cook the rice till it softens.

I enjoyed this simple and wonderful meal with chilled malt.

I wish I got a picture of myself after eating this foo, I looked so full and tired.
