ISAW SA MERCADO
Isaw is a popular Filipino food made from grilled pig or chicken intestine. It is an "inihaw" which most of the pinoy love. It is cleaned inside out so it will be safe for us to eat.
Honestly, I don't eat it because I am afraid to eat esp when other people cooked it. But my hubby when we went to a public market near our place saw this dish and he asked me to have a try it.
So, I tried 1 stick. But when I tasted it, the taste is good so I was able to eat 3 sticks. Since, it taste good and ad I can see it is properly cleaned and the utensils being used are clean as well.
So, since it was just sold along the road using a bicycle, so we just stand there and eat.
After it was deep fry in a cooking oil, you had the freedom to choose what is your sauce choice. You can choose ketchup, soy sauce and vinegar. And my choice is ketchup with chili.
My hubby was able to eat
5 sticks and mine is 3 sticks. So we paid 40php (around 2 steem) since each sticks costs 5php (0.25 steem). It is just affordable yet very yummy. But, if you wanted to try this make sure that it was clean properly and the utensils and ingredients being use are clean also to avoid any digestive problems.
That would be all for now til my next post!
Hello @kyrie1234 looks delicious but I do not know if I dare to eat them, plus they are economical.
You are right to eat anywhere, it is important to be attentive to the hygiene you have, the good thing is that you managed to observe that it was clean and that gave you confidence.
Have a nice day๐
thank you for the appreciation my dear
Haha! Scared of patronizing food vendors? Story of my life! Anyways, this looks delicious, especially, combining with the pepper sauce would make for a hot spicy taste. It's commendable the work you're doing to contribute to charity. Great job!
No sir, I am afraid my tummy can't afford to eat it and will experience stomach problem esp when it is not properly cleaned

I am glad to hear that you later ate it ๐, otherwise, you would have missed it a lot, trust me.
We do buy such here in my country as well.
Chicken intestine is cheap to buy here but it's very rich with nutrition ๐, most times i buy it to cook soup๐ because it's cheap and thats what i can afford sometimes.
A stick of it ranges from Two hundred Naira to One thousand naira (N200 to N1000-Naira is Nigerian currency) which is equivalent to 1 steem to 5 steems depending on the size.
As for the pig grilled, we have it here too, but they are expensive, usually a stick of such will cost from (1000 Naira to 4000 Naira) that is equivalent to 5steems to 20 steems. Funny enough few people eat this, but i am not exceptional because i eat all ๐.
Are you aware of it's nutritious values? How much does it cost over there?
Oh! It is is so expensive in your place. Here in our place it only cost 0.25steem but just a little size
Oh...thats cool. Interesting ๐. Could be because we it too much ๐คทโโ๏ธ๐, thats why its expensive here.
Thank you for your response๐.
ok i get it
