SteemFoods X Steemit Engagement Challenge Contest 2 || Who Is Your Favorite Chef in Your Family? || Our Head of the Family My Hubby! || by @maris75
My warmest greetings to all food lovers out there specially here in Steemfoods community.
For this contest I want to introduce to you our family's favorite chef - my husband. He has a passion of cooking and everytime he cooked he always ask us specially to our kids what dish we want to eat and he prepared it for us. He is our chef most of the time because he has more time in the house and he prepared a more delicious dish.
Today he will show you one of our family's favorite recipe the "pork nilaga" with vegetables. He really make sure that what is served at our table is more nutritious.
This is the ingredients:
750 grams of pork meat with bones
1/2 slice sayote
1 piece pechay
1 piece young sweet corn
1 piece gabi
5pieces of string beans
A sliced of squash
Red onion
Sili espada
Garlic
Ginger
Here are the prepared vegetables:
Cooking Procedures:
Step 1.
Saute the garlic and red onion with a small amount of cooking oil. Then add the pork meat and mix it. Leave it on fire for around 3 minutes. When the water in the meat extracted, add the gabi, and wait another 1 minute. When there is a gabi in a stew, the broth becomes thicker and tastier.
Step 2.
Add water that will level up to the meat. Then let it boil until the meat became a bit soften. You can add more water as needed.
Step 3.
If the meat almost tender add the young corn. Then add the sayote, squash, followed by the string beans, heads of pechay and sili espada. Let it boil for 2 to 3 minutes.
Step 4.
Add seasoning like salt and ajinomoto. Then get your desired taste. Last but not the least add the green pechay leaves. Then continue boiling for another 1 minute.
Turn off the fire, it's done cooking!
The delicious and nutritious pork stew is now to serve for my family.

Hello there. Greetings from Venezuela. As I'm seeing in the pictures, for me this is like pork with other vegetables on the form of salad. At this way of course it results in a very nutritious meal. Now it's more common to see men that loves to cook when traditionally women had to do it at home 😅 You're blessed by having a lovely husband like yours. Regards again. And good luck with your entry.
