Craving for some Vegetables Pizza loaded with Mozzarella! Made some mini ones!
For the last Iftaar of the Holy month of Ramadan, I wanted so badly to have some pizzas to break our last fast for this year!
I checked the freezer at my restaurant...and found some precooked mini pizza dough sitting over there!
I was relieved as making the pizza dough is the thing that takes most of time!
I advise everyone to always have some precooked pizza dough in hand and freeze them...whenever you want to eat pizza...you simply defrost the dough and put on the toppings...that's it!
For my mini vegetables pizzas, I used the following :
- Precooked mini pizza dough
- Tomato sauce
- Shredded Mozzarella cheese
- Sweet Corn / Onion / Green Pepper / Pineapple / Tomato - All cut in small dices
Precooked pizza dough!
This saved me a lot of time...well infact whenever we are making pizza at home, with all the surplus dough we make them mini like these, precook them and store in the freezer!
Whenever we want some quick pizza...just take them out from the freezer and let defrost on their own for about 20 minutes!
Tomato sauce!
Here I prepared a nice tangy tomato sauce with different fresh herbs like mint, basil, coriander and chives, added some fried garlic and a good doze of olive oil.
Mozarella
The price of Mozzarella is really very high in Mauritius...don't have any choice we have to buy despite the high price!
But I am happy to have found this one...the quality is really nice and have a very good taste.
The veggies!
For today I didn't want any meat or seafood on the pizza....I opted for a veg one!
So I grabbed all the different vegetables we had at the restaurant!
Yes...I know many people don't like pineapple on their pizzas...but here in Mauritius, we just love it and I don't have any problem with it!
Let's make it!
When all the preps are done and you have the dough in hand...making the pizza is now so easy!
You just have to first spread the tomato sauce on the precooked dough!
Next...add on the veggies and top up with the shredded Mozzarella cheese...so easy!
Before putting these beauties in the oven...I added some oregano on top for some additional flavor!
And hop...here they go for 10 minutes in the oven at 190 degrees Celsius for a rapid cooking!
They came out very beautiful and yummy with a nice golden brown color...just like I wanted!
We enjoyed them on today's Iftaar...and no need to mention; the kids just loved it so much!
Hoping that you've enjoyed this little foodie post same like we've enjoyed eating them earlier!
Wish you all a very pleasant day/evening ahead!
Happy Eid to everyone who are celebrating!
Thank you!
