The last 3 years on Steem has introduced to me one of the most interesting communities and systems over the blockchain. I have regulary posted to my Steemit Blog almost everyday. After studying the work of Dr. Putnam of Harvard University work on social capital i began to see so many parallels between understanding how social engagement and monetary value translate into ecosystems. The findings were quite interesting just how relationships and community equal money in aggregate form.

I was later able to engage with Ned Scott on a conversation involving account based voting and ideas about the oracle project. Next communities on Steemit formed and i felt this was a great move in the right direction. A key issue that i believe occured in curation was the idea of competitive pricing or i will use ideas like competitve value in how we curate blogs.

Whereas, the very concept of curating blogs appears to be subjective in an ecosystem my belief is that the more consistent they are the better the result. So after which case i started the Btcmyk UBI group. In this group posts that met certain guidelines of participation and energy/ratio placed in a post free of determinable ideas of spam or plagiarism would not be able to be rewarded.

So whereas in our curation process we participate in an approach that is more about the quality than content there would occur a universal or as close to possible reward system in value. In other words once a post was determined to be good it would meet the threshold of a relative value reward. This is much more radical and significant than a standard stakeweighted voting approach. So this would be a great deal more systematic.

In our video above we give an instance of what happened in Paris, France in a community that deemed an idea of fairness to be much more important than the actual reward. This we believe long term creates a much more positive experience for the platform. Social media gains a great deal of value when the community shares their great experiences with friends and groups etc.,

The final idea we'd like to touch on in our application process. The idea of expertise in curation. So the areas and groups of curation can be ever expansive. Subjects can range from astrophysics to the culinary arts. So there is a limit to determining what one would deem an accurate value in essence what would then present the most efficient way to curate. Steemit communities is certainly a great step in the direction of creating we believe a great atmosphere for curation.We've managed so far to gain 69 members who share this idea. Whereas our group is not subject specific as much as its linked to the idea of UBI in relation to steem posts. As to say once the acceptable threshold to curate depends more on an effective system of curation over one isolated to specific areas. We do believe such an approach can address what we believe to be one of the most important ideas. "That is saying to your community we value you".
