Chasing sunsets. One at a time.
I love sunsets, and I love places that offer a beautiful view of them. Whenever I get a chance to witness such scenes, I never miss it, no matter how important the work I might be heading for. I pause, stop, and enjoy these views, as they bring me peace, happiness, contentment, and so much more. For me, sunsets symbolize hope—the idea that with every sunset, the sun will rise again, just as after every untoward moment in life, something new and hopeful emerges.
Just a day before, I had gone to offer condolences to a family that had lost their grandmother, who had been ill for some time. While I was on my way to their home, I reached the top of a hill, one of the best places in our area to witness a beautiful sunset. I stopped my car by the roadside, turned off the music, stepped out onto the curve of the road, and stood there watching the sunset.
The golden hues it presented were mesmerizing. From that point, I could see the entire area—some parts still covered with snow, while others had dried up due to greater exposure to the sun. The contrast made the view incredibly beautiful and unforgettable. These sights gave me immense peace, and I wished I could have stayed there longer. However, I had to leave, as I needed to visit the family and arrive before evening, in keeping with our social norms.
Even so, I was grateful to have witnessed such a beautiful sunset. Unfortunately, I didn’t have a good camera with me; otherwise, the scenes would have been just as eye-catching for you as they were for me. I try to share them with you in words and hope you will like them.
Thank you for going through my post. Have a great time ahead.
